Expertise & Hands on experience with the following:

• Creating new infrastructure from scratch
• Excellent working experience of LAN, WAN management and network devices
• Linux Server installation and drivers installations configuration
• Network troubleshooting in both windows, linux environments.
• Troubleshooting of WiFi Networks
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Perform network diagnostics using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and SNMP.
• Investigate security incidents and implement measures to mitigate risks. ○ Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for network emergencies.
• Working experience to manage the complex network infrastructure.
• Experience to do automation to manage network devices using scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve network issues.
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification is a plus.

• Performs regular audits of server security and websites exposed outside to the world.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Write clean and efficient code using best practices, and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Participate in architectural discussions and propose technical solutions that align with business objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and troubleshoot issues.

Conduct comprehensive testing of software applications, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing.

Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.

Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a software engineer, with a focus on backend development.

Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.

Extensive experience with web application development frameworks such as Spring, Django, or Flask.

Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and proficiency in writing complex queries.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. The Head of Technology at Grab will work closely with the Founding team and lead a team of 30 people comprising backend, frontend developers testers.
2. Grab ’s current technology stack is LAMP and it houses Android applications along with backend modules. The candidate’s role will be to revisit the architecture and aim   the team towards it.  
3. Grab shall be diversifying into various new processes that will create opportunities to create new products which the Candidate shall take ownership of.
4. The Candidate's role apart from owning existing product lines will also be to create enterprise versions of Grab’s stack.
5. Candidates will obtain a deep understanding of the business side and accurate processes and systems around it. He/She will gather feedback from various stakeholders   and continuously refine tech offerings.

 Skills & Qualification:
