Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Android application development.
3. Proficient in Java or Kotlin programming languages.
4. Experience with Android Studio and version control systems (e.g., Git).
5. Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
6. Solid understanding of Android UI/UX design principles.
7. Familiarity with cloud services and mobile app security best practices.
8. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to comprehend project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
2. Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications with a focus on user experience.
3. Collaborate closely with the backend development team to integrate mobile applications with server-side logic.
4. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mobile application development.
5. Optimize application performance, ensuring responsiveness across various devices.
6. Assist in defining and implementing new features, working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
7. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality.

Job Description : Agile Expertise Experience managing requirements in an agile format from discovery through to delivery in an ongoing successful/sustainable model Experience as a scrum master & running Agile ceremonies, keeping stakeholders updated wrt to status Capabilities must include: Definition, importance & role ownership of Ceremonies, Scrum recognized and otherwise.  This would encompass, at minimum, Grooming, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Demo & Retrospective. Deep understanding of a user story & anatomy therein (Actor, Action Taken, Behavior, Business Value Justification acceptance criteria Business Analysis Capabilities 5+ years of business analyst experience performing requirements gathering, elaboration, story creation, acceptance validation etc. 3+ years of Hands-on experience with agile tools like Jira or equivalent Strong discovery experience Process/Sequence diagramming Postman and SOAPUI experience is a plus Diverse group facilitation Should be able to drive consensus around variety of Virtusa and Client business/technical leaders/SMEs

Skills:

• 4+ years of software development experience using traditional software development life cycle methodologies (covering requirements, design, development, testing and Implementation of n-tier architecture)
• Extensive experience with object-oriented software development methodologies and practices. Strong in following technologies
• OOAD/OOPS/UML, Design Patterns, MVC, Spring, Hibernate, Java, J2EE
• UI technologies AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, java script library, Ajax and other UI frameworks
• Exposure to component model design, SOA, open sources framework/tools
• Web Services, JMS, XML, SQL& Oracle
• Must have exposed with Test Driven Development/Re-factoring ideas/ Domain driven design patterns/continuous integration/Build Automation / Data-Mapper framework/Mocks.

Competencies:

• Experience in developing platforms or frameworks, components
• Excellent knowledge of the open source software/ tools/ technologies

Personal Traits:

• Strong comprehension, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent Communication skills (written & verbal) are mandatory

You’ll be working alongside other engineers and developers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our platform.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

• Work with our proprietary Java and Kotlin based SDK to find performance and functionality related issues.
• Working with in-house Dashboards to perform testing of UI and APIs. 
• Collaborating with teams to create test documents.
• Manual and automation testing for Mobile apps and games (Both android and iOS)
• Planning and task management in congruence with the Leadership Team.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

1. Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

2. Experience in project management is a plus

3. Ability to automate android application and web-application is a plus

4. Experience in working with proxy tools like Charles Proxy, Fiddler, etc., and the android studio is a plus

5. Expertise in API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, etc. is a plus

6. Knowledge of Agile scrum methodologies

7. Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills

8. Experienced in creating Test Plan, Test Case, and Test Report
