Responsibilities and Duties:

• Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby code.
• Integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.
• Connecting applications with additional web servers.
• Maintaining APIs.
• The ideal candidate will be fluent in Ruby and proficient with Ruby on Rails
• Extensive experience developing web applications in Object-Oriented Perl, Python, or Java can be substituted as long as there is a strong desire to work in Ruby
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
• Architecting, designing and developing scalable backend systems with RoR
• Solid understanding of deploying and maintaining Rails apps within the AWS environment.
• Set up workers and deploy across multiple instances.
• Work on complex modules and be hands on on the product code as and when required

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience required
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec and Resque
• Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages (such as Liquid, Slim, etc depending on your technology stack)
• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors (such as Sass, based on project requirements)
• A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g. Git, Mercurial or SVN)
• Familiarity with development aiding tools {such as Bower, Bundler, Rake, etc.}
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Familiarity with testing tools.
• Ability to quickly adapt & independently work in a fast-paced Agile environment with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and design Python-based microservices as per given requirements.
• Write scalable and efficient code while managing co-workers, juniors, and cross-team communication for timely delivery.
• Conduct code reviews and manage development deployments.
• Provide support for UAT and production deployments.
• Participate in client calls and handle grievances related to built services.
• Work in an Agile development environment, following best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends in software and hardware and be capable of working across multiple technologies.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• Languages & Frameworks: Python, FastAPI, Django, familiarity with web frameworks for development.
• Databases: PostgreSQL (schema designing, CRUD operations, ORM), Elasticsearch (loading/unloading data, query building), Redis.
• Workflow Automation & Broker: Working knowledge of Apache Airflow and Kafka.
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS S3, EC2, Docker, Docker-Compose.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills (English, Hindi), ability to create flow diagrams, UML diagrams, and deliver technical presentations.
• Development Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile environment.

Good to Have:

• Languages & Frameworks: Java, Spring Boot.
• Databases: MongoDB.
• Cloud Services: AWS Lambda.
• AI/ML & Big Data:
• Experience with Machine Learning libraries and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
• Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Software Engineering principles.
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools (SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face).
• Working knowledge of Spark with PySpark for big data processing.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

·         Candidate should be able to work independently with client and should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Work closely with experienced integration, frontend, or backend development teams

·         Contribute to estimation and scoping of projects

·         Work on presales environment for checking feasibilities for customer requirement.

Required Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

·         8 to 10 years of programming experience—preferably with Java 8+, and other tool support

·         5 years of Java # 6 experience

·         Should have experience in executing project independently.

·         Demonstrated ability of Design Patterns and to write efficient, reusable rest services and libraries

·         Experience with agile software development methodologies and software development best practices, pair programming and CI/CD

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Excellent analytical skills for solution building of customer requirements.

·         Good knowledge of datastores (RDBMS, Oracle, SQL)

·         Must have in depth understanding of the L1, L2, L3 support environment.

·         Experience in Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML and other web technologies

·         Strong understanding of network OS and system configurations.

·         Familiarization with OSLC and REST APIs

·         Ability to successfully lead offshore development teams and work in global delivery model- US, India, Germany

·         Knowledge of LDAP

·         Experience with Microsoft Office products- Word, Excel, Powerpoint

·         Experience with other Requirements Management Tools (Polarion, PTC Integrity) will be a value add

Preferred Experience

·         Understanding of high-availability, fault-tolerant, scalable, distributed systems

·         Working knowledge of iText 7, OpenFeign, RabbitMQ/JMS, Mockito and jUnit/nUnit, Spring Cloud

• Prior experience on building a scalable and resilient micro service

• Solid understanding of relational databases, NoSQL databases and Caching systems
• Good understanding of Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop is a plus
• Experience on one of AWS, Azure or GCP
