Backend SDE-2

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong experience in building scalable, reliable, and high- performance systems. You will work on designing APIs, handling large-scale data, and building robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot)
• Build scalable and fault-tolerant systems to handle high traffic and large data volumes
• Design clean and efficient RESTful APIs and service contracts
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Optimize system performance, latency, and throughput
• Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices
• Debug production issues and ensure system reliability and uptime
• Participate in system design and architectural decisions
• Own services end-to-end, including development, deployment, and monitoring.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong proficiency in Java
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OOPs concepts
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Strong knowledge of databases:
• Relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) • Basics of NoSQL (Redis, MongoDB, etc.)
• Understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and JVM internals
• Familiarity with caching strategies (Redis, in-memory caching)
• Experience with Git and version control workflows

Good to Have Experience with deployment strategies:

• Blue-Green deployments
• Canary releases • Rolling deployments
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
• Basic experience with AWS / cloud infrastructure:
• EC2, S3, RDS • Load balancers, auto-scaling
• Experience with Docker and containerization
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and service communication (REST/gRPC, Kafka)
• Familiarity with message queues / streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
• Understanding of security best practices (authentication, authorization, OAuth, JWT)

 Required Experience /Qualifications

• 4 years of backend development experience
• BTech / BE Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Ability to translate Wireframes and PSD Designs into functional web apps using HTML5, AngularJS, React , Node.js, and Mongo

• Binding of UI elements to JavaScript object models

• Creating RESTful services with Node.js

• Architect scalable web architectures

• Work in a cross-functional team to deliver a complete user experience

• Create Unit and Integration tests to ensure the quality of code

• Be responsive to change requests and feature requests

• Write code that is cross-platform and cross-device compatible

• Ability to wear many hats and learn new technologies quickly

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will get an opportunity to work on AI/ML technologies using NodeJS for web applications.
• Deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced customer-facing product.
• Specify, design, and implement the functionality and behaviors of the web infrastructure.
• Be involved in the full life-cycle of development from concept through integration, test, and high web traffic deployments.
• Interface with the firmware team as well as clients and end-users of the products.
• API development using REST JSON/XML, and security standards like OAuth.

Requirements:

• BTech or MTech in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other similar majors.
• Experience building products with full-stack technologies, and an excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Must have experience in version control systems like GIT.
• Strong in NodeJS, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Elasticsearch.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Responsible for understanding functional and business requirements and translate them into effective code
• Provide support till deployment of code into production.
• Ownership for ensuring code optimization, problem diagnosis, and on-time delivery
• Implement solutions as per the pre-defined framework /guidelines and adherence to processes
• Finding an optimal solution for the problem statement

What candidate should know about:

• Excellent hands-on experience with Node.Js, Express.Js, JavaScript

 Roles & Responsibilities

 You are responsible for understanding the product architecture and Design laid out by the Architect and Develop product features in alignment with the architecture.

Product is built on Microsoft stack with Angular 11, .NET and data residing in MS SQL Server and InfluxDB, mobile application built on Flutter and data lake deployed on Azure environment. It extensively uses multi-threading for parallel processing, stored procedures for data access and leverages time-series database for storing high frequency equipment data.

In this role, you should be able to work independently as well as work with vendor and junior members to collaboratively build the features and take them to production. You need to be both a big picture thinker and in-depth problem solver, your knowledge and skills are both broad and deep.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of Product development experience of which at least 2 years should comprise of working independently with minimal supervision and guidance
• Experience with at least one full cycle development of product features from requirements to Production deployment to Post production support is critical
• Excellent Programming Skills using C#, WPF, MVVM, Winforms, .NET Framework, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), ASP.net web api, SQL Server, Store Procedure, Triggers
• Solid Understanding of Multi-Threading and Parallel Programming
• Excellent understanding of Windows Operating System Internals (Process, Threads, Memory Management).
• Clear understanding of OOP and OOAD
• Excellent application debugging skills using Visual Studio Debugger
• Strong knowledge in design patterns, data structures and algorithms
• Experienced in developing Windows desktop applications
• Ability to work independently and be self-driven
• Should have knowledge on code repositories like SVN, GitHub etc and Agile tools like JIRA
