Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with 5+ years of expertise in Python and Django to help us build and scale our backend services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that support CoinCrowd’s innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python-based backend services using the Django framework.
• API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate with various frontend and third-party services, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Database Management: Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) to manage and optimize data storage, retrieval, and performance.
• System Architecture: Participate in system design and architecture decisions, ensuring the backend is scalable, maintainable, and secure.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and optimize the backend to handle high-load environments, ensuring high performance and low latency.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices to ensure sensitive user data is protected in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
• Collaborate: Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to ensure seamless integration across systems.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with strong adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and infrastructure, including adopting new tools, methodologies, and frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend or server-side development, with strong expertise in Python and Django.
• Frameworks & Tools: Solid experience with Django, Django REST Framework (DRF), and other backend- related libraries/tools.
• Databases: Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
• API Development: Hands-on experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs, including authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
• Testing: Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Unittest) and TDD/BDD methodologies.
• Security Best Practices: Understanding of security practices such as encryption, authentication, and authorization.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on optimizing performance and scalability.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Blockchain/Cryptocurrency: Experience with blockchain technologies or cryptocurrency platforms is a plus.
• Microservices Architecture: Familiarity with building microservices or serverless architectures. GraphQL: Experience with GraphQL APIs is a plus.
• Agile/Scrum: Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Requirements:

• Should be a go-getter, ready to shoulder more responsibilities, shows enthusiasm and interest in work.
• Excellent core Python skills including threading, dictionary, OOPS Concept, Data structure, Web service.
• Should have work experience on following stacks/libraries: Flask

Job Description

1. 5- 8 yrs IT industry experience preferably Banking domain
2. Strong Python Skills and good understanding of Java and Microservices
3. Should have handled banking customers and exposure to Production support processes
4. Good in database and Pl/SQL – Ability to write SQL as and when needed  
5. Good attitude and communication
6. WFH not allowed – Working from Bank premises as per bank calendar in Saifabad or Hitech City – Saifabad Flexibility must

What You'll Do:

• Understand the upcoming development requirement of product in depth.
• Design product architecture as per vision, insights and concurred direction.
• Design and develop the APIs using Java, Spring, and Hibernate required for the product and expose them to be used by the front-end developers.
• Design the database and tables in MySQL/PostGreSQL/NoSQL (whichever is suitable for the need of the product) and guide the team to utilize them in the best possible way.
• Get involved in continuous maintenance of the product and get the bugs fixed in time.
• Coordinate the workflow between the UX Designers and front-end developers.
• Work on integrating flows with external tools - Segment, Branch, Clevertap.

Ideal Profile:

• Proficiency in Core Java & Spring framework.
• Expertise in Web Service technologies.

• Experience in building REST APIs using Java/Spring.
• Excellent knowledge in Databases and code integrations such as Postgres SQL, SQL Server, MySQL.
• Experience in full life cycle development of a product (specifically mobile products) is a plus.
• Experience with Java/Spring-Boot, Hibernate Cloud Services, AWS.
• Experience with security principles and frameworks.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token and OAuth2 - Familiarity with code versioning tools (primarily Git).
• Essential skills are Core Java/J2EE, functional aspects, Spring Framework, Tomcat, SVN, Git, Postman/Newman.
• Should have worked in Agile methodologies.
• Good object-oriented and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities: 

As a backend developer you would be responsible for:   

• Executing full lifecycle software development
• Architect and conceptualise the solution from initiation to completion meeting client requirements 
• Work with customer and their integration partners to ensure the product is well integrated 
• Programming well-designed, testable and efficient code 
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions 
• Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering and ML team) to craft custom solutions

• 2+ years of experience in architecture and developing high performance web applications
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)

• Knowledge of RESTful API and SOAP Webservices paradigms 
• Experience with CRM/ERPs like systems SAP, Oracle, SalesForce, Servicenow, Workday, etc. would be a huge plus

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

Additional Job requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Math or equivalent
• BS in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional software development experience: designing, developing, and delivering software written in Java, C#, or C++, web development.
• Knowledgeable in object-oriented design patterns.
• Experience building highly scalable and distributed systems

• Experience with service-oriented architecture and application/services development
