Senior Full Stack Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who loves to build. This role is all about getting things working—fast—and then making them solid.

You’ll be hands-on across the stack, taking defined user journeys and turning them into real, clickable prototypes, then hardening them into reliable, production-ready features. There’s no people management here—just solving problems, writing code, and shipping.

You’ll work closely with your Innovation partner (who’s experimenting with new ideas and patterns) and help bring those ideas into the product in a practical, shippable way. We collaborate remotely, with in-person sessions to whiteboard, pair, and move things forward quickly.

What You’ll Do

• Build end-to-end features across frontend and backend—from idea to demo to production-ready.
• Turn lightweight wireframes and “good enough” requirements into working software.
• Prototype quickly, then clean things up: edge cases, error handling, performance, tests.
• Take AI-generated code and make it production-worthy.
• Plug experimental UI and workflows into our core applications and services.
• Work closely with design and engineering to keep things practical and moving.

Responsibilities:

● Create and maintain LookML code, which defines data models, dimensions, measures, and relationships within Looker.

● Develop reusable LookML components to ensure consistency and efficiency in report and dashboard creation.

● Build and customize dashboard to Incorporate data visualizations, such as charts and graphs, to present insights effectively.

● Write complex SQL queries when necessary to extract and manipulate data from underlying databases and also optimize SQL queries for performance.

● Connect Looker to various data sources, including databases, data warehouses, and external APIs.

● Identify and address bottlenecks that affect report and dashboard loading times and Optimize Looker performance by tuning queries, caching strategies, and exploring indexing options.

● Configure user roles and permissions within Looker to control access to sensitive data & Implement data security best practices, including row-level and field-level security.

● Develop custom applications or scripts that interact with Looker's API for automation and integration with other tools and systems.

● Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage LookML code changes and collaborate with other developers.

● Provide training and support to business users, helping them navigate and use Looker effectively.

● Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Looker, data models, and reports.

Skills Required:

● Experience in Looker's modeling language, LookML, including data models, dimensions, and measures.

● Strong SQL skills for writing and optimizing database queries across different SQL databases (GCP/BQ preferable)

● Knowledge of data modeling best practices

● Proficient in BigQuery, billing data analysis, GCP billing, unit costing, and invoicing, with the ability to recommend cost optimization strategies.

● Previous experience in Finops engagements is a plus

● Proficiency in ETL processes for data transformation and preparation.

● Ability to create effective data visualizations and reports using Looker’s dashboard tools.

● Ability to optimize Looker performance by fine-tuning queries, caching strategies, and indexing.

● Familiarity with related tools and technologies, such as data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery ), data transformation tools (e.g., Apache Spark), and scripting languages (e.g., Python).

The Data Analytics Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. • Build and enhance the software stack for modelling and data analytics
• Incorporate relevant data related algorithms in the products to solve business problems and improve them over time
• Automate repetitive data modelling and analytics tasks

Qualifications:

• 10-13 years of data engineering experience.
• Experience in working on machine-learning model deployment/scoring, model lifecycle management and model performance measurement.
• In-depth understanding of statistics and probability distributions, with experience of applying it in big-data software products for solving business problems
• Hands-on programming experience with big-data and analytics related product development using Python, Spark and Kafka to provide solutions for business needs.
• Intuitive with good interpersonal-skills, time-management and task-prioritization
• Ability to lead a technical team of software developers and mentor them on good software development practices.
• Ability to quickly grasp the business problem and nuances when put forth.
• Ability to quickly put together an execution plan and see it through till closure.
• Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
