Angular Developer

To lead the development of robust, scalable, and visually engaging frontend applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. The Senior Engineer – Frontend will drive architectural decisions, implement best practices in UI/UX, and ensure seamless integration with backend systems. This role focuses on building high-performance, maintainable interfaces while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continuous improvement of the overall product development process.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with Product Owner and tech lead to discover, design, develop and deploy great financial tools and products that provide meaningful value to our customers.
• Develop, Unit tests and deploy components.
• Integrate UI application with rest APIs.
• Primary technologies focused on modern front-end - Advanced JS ES6, React, Redux, Angular Js and other modern JS frameworks, HTML/CSS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our tech stack.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of practical experience and proven success with the design, development and operation of complex web applications.
• Strong experience with modern and vanilla JavaScript and Typescript techniques including JSX and ES6/ES7 features
• Familiarity connecting to microservices, REST APIs, graph APIs, and other database- driven web applications
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Asynchronous programming including Promises, async/await, and ES7 generators
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Broad technical knowledge across a majority, with deeper knowledge in, the following: Web application development, Software engineering and/or testing; Data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Good to have:

• Experience in Node.js is a plus
• Experience in Databases (MySQL, Postgres) will be a plus

• Strong front-end development skills, experience with JavaScript libraries/frameworks mainly Angular JS Preferably Version 7 or Version 5

Minimum Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must have the following experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, and/or business, or equivalent work experience.
2. You have experience with developing, maintaining and supporting production applications which have live users using Angular.
3. You have experience with State managment and NgRx (ideally) or any other framework
4. You are NOT a fresh graduate with no production experience
5. You have excellent English speaking skills
6. Strong understanding of the DOM, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
7. 3+ years of in-depth experience with Angular (2/4/8/x)
8. 1+ years of experience with additional web libraries and frameworks. Preferred: NgRx, Rx.js.

Additional Skills Desired

1. Ability to be empathetic and form strong working relations with your team members.
2. Strong understanding of debugging and ability to quickly debug code, find problems and produce fixes.
3. Experience with Responsive Web Design (RWD) patterns

As an Angular developer, you will have an important role in developing and maintaining web applications. The Angular developer will be responsible for ensuring that these applications are performant, secure, and easy to use. We have three portals for different types of users and they are written in Angular. Your primary responsibility will be to provide impeccable user experience to the users on all forms of devices. You will be leading the effort of overhaul of one of the portals which we want to partly rewrite. Your Angular, JavaScript and design skills will matter the most here. Apart from this, you will be involved in all design discussions and code reviews and expected to give your inputs to ensure the best frontend development practices are followed.
