Technical Experience:

-Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code

-Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code

About The Role

CapitalNow is seeking an Android Developer with notable experience in Java and Kotlin development. The technical team is responsible for developing the supported mobile application and web app for customers and a control panel for the marketing team involved in CapitalNow. You will be responsible for delivering best in a class mobile experience, engineering-complex, secure & high-quality native Android mobile apps for our product.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate efficiently across cross-functional teams such as product managers, UX-/UI-designers, and other software engineers
• Design, build and maintain high-performance reusable, and reliable code
• Continually improve and innovate software development, deployment and testing to ensure high-quality, on-time releases. Conduct and participate in code-reviews
• Provide UAT support & needed assistance for release management activities
• Serve as a leader for team members to learn from regarding mobile technologies, development, and delivery processes

Essential Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Android Kotlin/Java development
• Excellent understanding of Objective Oriented design patterns, Android fundamentals, and Android SDK (versions 5.0 and up)
• ○  Experience with offline persistence, threading, memory management, and performance tuning
• ○ Data structure optimizations, security, IPC, App Modularization
• ○ 3+yrs of Experience in integrating third-party SDKs like Facebook, Gmail/Google, and Payment gateways like CCAvenue, PayU, Razorpay, etc
• ○ Including Android Architecture Components, Navigation Framework, Android Jetpack, Android NDK, View components, JSON, and more
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Published at least two original Android apps
• Knowledge of Google Playstore Policies and experience in handling all types of permissions in Playstore
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications

• Having experience working in the Financial Services domain (good if it's in capital markets) is an added advantage
• Familiarity with Unit Testing
• Hands-on experience as a Senior Android developer is a plus
• Having experience in writing complex queries using MySQL is an added advantage

1. Build pixel-perfect UIs across Android and iOS mobile platforms.
2. Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms. 
3. Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native. 
4. Developing and releasing complex, data-driven apps using React Native as the primary application framework. 
5. Proficiency writing Modern JavaScript, including ES6+, and JSX.
6. Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
7. Must be able to develop high-performance cross-platform apps using React-Native.

Passion for all things Mobile and have built complex Mobile Applications with React Native for at least 2 years. Have shipped apps on either the iOS App Store or Android Play Store, and are intimately familiar with their workflows. Comfortable with jest for writing unit and integration tests / appium for end-end testing. Intuition for usability and UI design, with an ability to balance polish with the constraints of timing and scope. Curiosity to remain updated with the newest technologies and frameworks. Comfort with any of WebRTC/Backend Stack/React JS is a strong plus. Most importantly, love coding!

1. Minimum 4+ years of mobile application development experience in native and excellent coding skills in Swift, RxSwift, RxCocoa, Objective-C
2. Any experience on MVVM, VIPER
3. Should have deep knowledge of the iOS SDK and IDE development tools.
4. Experience developing client-server applications using technologies and web services APIs such as JSON, REST.
5. Has hands-on experience with unit testing.
6. Extensive experience in using various architecture, frameworks, and design patterns in designing/refactoring a highly optimized mobile is a must.
7. Solid understanding of the agile development process and experience.
8. Experience working in TDD (Test Driven Development) and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Deployment) environment is a plus.
9. Implement clean and manageable code incorporating best practices on security
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams from both offshore and onsite to define, design, and ship new features.
11. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
12. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
13. Review code, bug triage and execute multiple releases as per business demand
