Android Developer

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in developing test frameworks and automation for Android-based infotainment systems.
• Minimum 2+ years of C++ development experience with exposure to Android’s HAL.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python.
• 1+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong understanding of Android Automotive System and Android Framework.
• In-depth knowledge of different Android components, including Services, Activities, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and RTOS concepts.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Mentoring skills to support and guide less experienced team members.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Participating in the entire product lifecycle (analyze, develop, test, release, and support.
• Contributing to research for new web and mobile technologies and recommend solutions to improve interface designs and interactions
• Testing, debugging, and fine-tuning to optimize the application’s performance.
• Designing intuitive applications to enhance users’ experiences.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

• 2+ year experiences of mobile/web application development and system integration.
• Must be a skilled programmer with knowledge of coding best practices and ability to produce highly readable and maintainable code.
• Management and support of Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
• Experience in API development and integration with third-party APIs
• English communication is required. Great communication skills to coordinate across technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and with good problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with and lead other development team members.
• Ability to work in multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Specialization in IONIC must.

KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERTISE IN THE FOLLOWING ARE AN ADVANTAGE:

• Specialization in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and JavaScript.
• Experience with web service integration (REST, JSON, XML).
• Experience or knowledge with Git, Gitlab, GitHub is a plus.

• Proven software development experience
• Proven working experience in Android
• Strong Java OOPs concepts and design patterns understanding 
• Hands-on experience on Kotlin.
• Good understanding of C and data structures, JavaScript
• Must have a good understanding of React Native or Cordova
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Have published at least one app in the Store.
• Experience in writing SDK frameworks
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Knowledge of JNI, security algorithms
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces
• Knowledge of the open-source Android/iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Must be proficient in code versioning tools such as Git, SVN
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies Solid understanding of the mobile development life cycle
• Good to have: Experience in working on cross-platform such as Flutter, Kony.

• 2+ years of relevant experience in Android Development.
• Should be strong in Android fundamentals (including UI design), OOP & Java fundamentals.
• Should be strong in Kotlin fundamentals and coroutines.
• Familiar with Android Architectures, Multithreading Concepts, Testing framework like JUnit, Espresso, Mockito and Reactive Programming.
• Familiar with Dependency Injection and memory optimization techniques.
• Practitioner of SOLID principles.
• Working experience in Compose and KMM (Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile) is an addon
• Should have been part of a team which has shipped at-least one App and lived through the process without too many scars
