Android Developer

Part time - minimum 80-100 hours a month

Responsible for
- Designing and coding the base application
- Ensuring the quality of the application
- Fixing application bugs
- Maintaining the code
- Implementing application updates

Essential Responsibilities :

Must Have :

- Build pixel-perfect, smooth UIs across both Android and iOS mobile platforms.

- Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.

- Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native

- 3rd party Native SDK integrations

- Maintain versioning on the application and releases

As a Mobile developer you are required to work with a team of architects, and developers to create mobile applications.

 

 

·       Design and build applications for the iOS platform

·       Ensure the performance, quality, and knowledge of best practices

·       Strong understanding of MVVM Architecture and should be able to demonstrate working experience

·       Strong with Auto layout and Storyboard for proficient user interface creation

·       Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.

·       Experience with Online/Offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

Position description:

2+ years of development experience with mobile application development for Android.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the core team for coming up with new features and implementing them
• Work on new products and services
• Provide support to existing applications

Your responsibilities include:

• Work on the LOTR (Locus on the road) app which is native app in Android in a small team of 3 engineers
• Apart from the app, there is LOTR SDK also which is in nascent stage. The role would require building up the SDK as well
• Write maintainable code with around 80% unit test coverage. Do PR (pull request) review of fellow engineers on the app
• If you are adventurous - opportunity will be provided to work on the backend API to which the LOTR app/SDK will communicate to. Backend is in all java
• We have some created some cool stuff around selective app upgrade setup. Also, our app development process is under CI/CD so you don’t have to build & release app manually.

• 2 - 6 year experience as Android developer in a product based company
