Job Description:

We are hiring experienced .NET Developers with 5+ years of hands-on experience in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and SQL Server. Candidates should be proficient in building scalable web applications and APIs.

Key Skills:

Founding Engineer:

As a Founding Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and launching our product to customers. Specifically,

• Since our team is lean and we plan to keep it that way - you’ll be one of the first five engineers in leading the zero-to-one journey of a product our customers are hungry for
• Lead technical design and implementation of the frontend and backend of the product with coaching and mentorship from world-class technical architects
• Have knowledge of (or learn) how to work with Shopify’s CLI
• Iterate quickly to create delightful user experiences, working closely with customers/ design partners
• Help us hire a world-class engineering team in the months ahead
• Our team is currently fully remote (with offices to be opened in Bangalore and Mumbai over next few months) and cross-border across San Francisco, Boston, and India - help us cultivate a remote-first, inclusive, diverse, and friendly culture
• Work directly with the founders with an ownership mindset

Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience working with backend tech stacks (e.g. Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, Django, Laravel)
• Experience with service service-oriented architecture, writing REST APIs, unit testing, and architectural design
• Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP, REST, GraphQL, WebSockets)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and other technologies (e.g. Mysql, Redis, Kafka)
• Prior experience working with frontend tech stacks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Prior experience working with frontend UI frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Software Development Lifecycle: Work on the full software development lifecycle of systems.
• Technical Expertise: Solid technical background with an understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Experience in going through a full product lifecycle, integrating internal and external customer feedback into product requirements, managing change requests, driving prioritization, and pre-/post-launch execution.
• System Analysis: Analyze systems, considering reliability, systems risks, and code.
• Project Management: Manage project conflicts, challenges, and dynamic business requirements to meet expected deliverables.
• Process Management: Excellent understanding of process management, improvement practices, and operation services.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in end-to-end implementation and deployment within cloud systems.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of Angular 8+, Azure, HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, ASP.Net, C#, SQL Server 2012/2014+, etc.
• Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented (OOPS) concepts.
• Good experience in Relational Database Management Systems, Database design, and Normalization.
• Hands-on experience in the design, development, and debugging of systems.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) to ensure scalability and maintainability.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the entire technology stack of Walnut Schools, consisting of school management software, e-Learning software, mobile apps and Google Apps Scripts.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field

THE CANDIDATE:

Candidates with Min 3 Years experience who will Scope, analyze, debug and implement complex LAMP based systems and handle a project independently.

SKILLS MANDATORY – PHP Coding on Laravel Framework, MySQL (having handled MIN 100 tables), Javascript

DESIRABLE SKILLS - XML, HTML, HTML5, XHTML, CSS, JSON Parsing, Jenkins, Github, Gitbash, PHP Storm, AWS EC2 instances, Mobile development (Flutter), Node JS, Angular

THE SELECTION PROCESS:

Candidates will go through a 3 stage selection process

Stage 1 – Online Digital Interview where responses will be recorded over video

Stage 2 – An online technical skills assessment test

Stage 3 – A one to one interview over zoom

We would like the entire process to be completed in less than  100 hours for selected candidates
