We are looking to hire a Senior Backend Developer, with over 4+ years of experience, to directly work with the CTO and contribute in building and developing new products and feature sets for NostraGamus. The work will entail the opportunity to explore and utilise the latest developments in the world of technology, and formulate ways to incorporate them into day to day work to create stellar products. The candidate must have had significant exposure in building real products, including working with various stakeholders across product and marketing teams. Prior knowledge in building games at scale is highly desirable, but not necessarily.

 

The following skillsets are highly essential:

1. Expertise in Node Js&Javascript, and hobbyist interest in few other languages like Python, Ruby, PHP. Must have done C/C++ programming in school/college
2. Deep knowledge on Database systems, especially PostgreSQL, and any noSQL clones, including knowledge to optimise
3. Awareness of Docker, virtualization, Redis or similar caching toolsets
4. Absolute mastery in using Unix based systems and Bash. Ability to work in seamlessly in headless environments is a must.
5. Disciplined in approaching problems, ability to maintain composure under catastrophic failures and propensity to work under deadlines

Bonus Points :

1. Passionate about building new products - having done a few personal projects, regardless of success achieved or goals completed.
2. Prior knowledge in building games at scale.
3. Good understanding in AWS and its various services - EC2, ECS, RDS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk, Elasticache, Route53.
4. Strong interest in Mathematics, Probability Theory, Statistics, Machine Learning and ability to apply math in real-world applications.

In partnership with Product leadership, you will plan , manage and drive the execution of design projects/games from inception to completion You’ll lead a cross-functional team to help define the product vision that aligns with the customer’s needs and business requirements. You will help lead and scale our Product Design team, shape the company’s strategy . Your leadership will help shape the culture of design, research, and product development at Gambit Sports. Responsibilities - Work with leadership and lead the product design team to determine top priorities and ensure development work reflects those priorities - Work on products to implement and improve gamification and behavior design efforts . - Lead design from ideation to release on fun interactive features that enhance story and increase player engagement through delight, depth and replayability . - Employ a range of qualitative (user discovery research, focus groups, usability studies, etc.) and quantitative (surveys, analytics, market research, etc) methods to better understand our users’ needs. - Work closely with teams comprised of engineers, designers, marketing, and play a critical role in planning of projects to ensure the timely delivery of quality products and features - Continuously seek out ways to improve process and capabilities of a multi discipline creative team - Anticipate and resolve creative challenges by using appropriate resources and/or solutions Skills & Requirements - 10+ years as a producer / project manager / game designer in the digital space - A portfolio of games or gamification work done with you as a primary designer/contributor - An understanding of what makes for good user experience and behavior design . - Strong design mentality and intuition for game mechanics and game flow - Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills - Capacity to think strategically, and an ability to understand how product decisions are tied to key business drivers - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Experience leading a team, and effectively implementing team goals and deadlines

Nostragamus is looking for an experienced designer to join our growing design team. We're looking for someone who has a good understanding of digital product design,game design,game mechanics along with a versatile skill set that covers problem framing, interaction design, information architecture, rapid prototyping, user testing, and graphic design. Responsibilities 1. Work with Product leadership to propose and build products and features that meet customer needs and are aligned with business strategy 2. Work on products to implement and improve gamification and behavior design efforts . 3. Lead design from ideation to release on fun interactive features that enhance story and increase player engagement through delight, depth and replayability . 4. Lead efforts to create a consistent user and brand experience at every touchpoint of the product, mapping user flows, design screens, and oversee building process across responsive web product 5. Take high-level product ideas from conception to mockups, wireframes, and finished renderings, working with the engineering team and product managers 6. Implement user flows, interactions, and experiences that are simple, intuitive, and consistent across web, android and ios platforms 7. Partner with product and engineers to oversee the user experience of new features and products from conception through launch. Requirements 1. 4+ years of web and mobile web product design experience 2. Proven track record designing beautiful and usable interfaces 3. Fluent in design and prototyping techniques, principles and tools like Sketch,Figma and Adobe Suite 4. Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. 5 Strong design mentality and intuition for game mechanics and game flow 6. Embrace an interactive design process and are receptive to feedback 7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions 8. Good knowledge of Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design Guidelines 9. Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, interaction design trends, usability principles, and platform guidelines. 10. Experience in a startup or other fast-paced environment is a plus.
