You will
- Work closely in the respective software engineering team in design and development of
high scale mission critical applications.
- Drive the design and development of one or more components/applications in your
product by establishing robust low level design, good code practices, and unit testing.
- Partner with cross functional teams like product management, operations and business
to propose and influence the design of platforms/systems for higher scale and
complexity.
- Mentor software engineers in the team in solving complex problems and delivering
great quality software, do regular code reviews and play a key role in overall
deliverables.
What do we look for
While we are quite technology agnostic, we particularly look for some concepts that go behind
building high quality products for our consumers.
Coding : Extensive coding in one the following: Java/Python/ROR/Golang
Design : System design, design patterns, designing data structures, source code and
performance algorithms.
Cross functional : Ability to work with diverse teams like Products, business and
operations. Your ability to gather requirements, attention to detail and learnability
would really matter
Experience :4 to 7 years of experience in consumer internet companies or high
scale SAAS

What youโll do
โข Own product strategy, execution and go-to-market for one of MyGateโs mobile consumer products or product lines
โข Understand motivations and behavior of one or more types of users and be obsessed with creating delightful product experiences for these users
โข Drive user adoption, engagement and retention on products you own
โข Work with key stakeholders across business and technology teams to evaluate and prioritize opportunities and develop product strategy
โข Work closely with a cross-functional team of design, engineering, business development and operations counterparts to build and take your products to market
โข Determine the metrics that determine business, product and operational success and track these metrics to improve and evolve your product
Skills and experience you should have
โข 4 years of product management experience building and launching consumer products, with at least 2 years in mobile consumer products
โข Deep user empathy layered with a strong understanding of business
โข Be self-driven with a high degree of ownership and urgency
โข Be customer focused, analytical and data-driven in your decision making. Use user research, A/B testing and continuous experiments to guide your product thinking
โข Track record of strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
โข Can build effective partnerships with business owners across business lines
โข Thrive in an ambiguous environment with changing needs
