✅ DevOps & CI/CD – Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, automation pipelines
✅ Database & Storage – SQL, NoSQL, caching strategies, distributed databases
2. Pre-Sales & Solutioning
✅ Understanding Business Requirements – Ability to translate client needs into technical solutions
✅ Solution Architecture – Designing scalable, cost-effective, and secure architectures
✅ Proposal & RFP Response – Experience in crafting compelling proposals, responding to RFPs
✅ Effort Estimation & Pricing – Ability to estimate development efforts, infrastructure costs, and licensing
✅ Proof of Concept (PoC) & Demos – Hands-on experience in creating PoCs to validate solutions
3. Client Engagement & Communication
✅ Stakeholder Management – Engaging with C-level executives, technical teams, and procurement
✅ Presentation & Storytelling – Ability to pitch solutions effectively with clear value propositions
✅ Competitive Analysis – Understanding competitors' offerings and differentiating solutions
✅ Handling Technical Objections – Addressing concerns on scalability, security, and cost
4. Industry & Domain Knowledge
✅ Experience with BFSI Industry-Specific Solutions
✅ Compliance & Regulatory Understanding – GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.
The Pre-Sales Consultant -BFSI will be responsible for providing functional & c to the sales team in the sales process. This includes understanding customer needs, developing functional & technical solutions, and delivering presentations/demos.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of technology solutions and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the sales team to develop relevant solutions and pitches for prospects
- Own the entire proposal development process/execution
- Deliver well-structured and high-quality proposals with strong solutioning in a timely manner
- Coordinate with Sales in an efficient manner
- Understand client requirements, address their queries, walk them through the proposed solution, and help Sales close the deal
- Keep a tab on the solutions out in the market in the BFSI sector, client's key business challenges and unmet needs, identify and help develop solutions to cater to those needs
- Actively working on creating case studies and collaterals for the sales team
- Review and improve the existing collateral materials; get the repository tagged and organized
- Proactively collaborate with Sales and technology team to develop more materials based on the expected business pipeline
- Assisting the pre-sales team lead in effectively coordinating between operations and sales team in order to ensure in-time support for pre-sales activities
- Get all the pre-sales activities streamlined and organized across the practice areas, set- up SLAs and process flows, and track compliance
- Take measures to improve the quality of proposals; set-up a process to collect feedback from Sales
Experience: 7+ Years
Competencies required -
- Excellent communication (both written and oral) skills
- Must have excellent pre-sales and solutioning skills.
- Required to understand fairly unstructured requirements from the client and create related SoW and proposals
- Skills in storyboarding, problem solving, and insights generation are must.
- Proven client engagement skills and adept at sharing insights and recommendations that have tangible business impacts
- Ability to engage with leading BFSI clients independently and lead discussions to win and execute engagements
- Strong sector expertise – extensive research (market intelligence) experience in the BFSI domain
- Domain knowledge in anyone of the following is required - Retail Banking, Corporate banking, Lending and Wealth management.
- Technology knowledge in one or more of the following is desired – Mobile frontend technologies, ESB, Middleware, Cloud technologies and Dev
