We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Software Engineer II to join our Bridge product team. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of a coreĀ InsurityĀ platform by building new features, modernizing both frontend and backend components, and improving system performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth, collaborative instincts, and an automation mindsetāalong with a passion for using next-generation tooling to enhance delivery. Youāll play a key role in projects that include UI/API modernization, system integrations, and performance tuning, while also helping to adopt agentic workflows and internal automations that scale team impact.

What OurĀ Software Engineer IIĀ Will Do
- Design, build, and shipĀ features across a largeĀ .NET microservicesĀ suite; own your code from design through production.
- Own quality as part of engineering: write and maintain the automation needed to protectĀ yourĀ services (unit, integration, contract, and targeted e2e). āDoneā = coded, reviewed, tested, observable, deployed.
- Evolve APIsĀ (REST/JSON; some SOAP): define clear contracts, enforce backward-compatibility with contract tests.
- Level up automation & CI/CD: improve pipelines, quality gates, coverage, and deployment reliability; reduce flaky tests and speed feedback loops.
- Operate what you build: add logs/metrics/traces, triage issues, root-cause and fix defects.
- Partner with QAĀ on test strategy for your changes;Ā QA is a collaborator, not a handoff.
- Lean into generative AI to go fasterāsafely:
- Use coding assistants (e.g., Copilot/ChatGPT/Replit) to draft code/tests/docs andĀ verify outputs.
- GenerateĀ synthetic test data/casesĀ from API contracts; summarize PRs, changelogs, and incidents.
- Build lightweight internal automations (e.g., PR reviewers, log triage helpers) under our governance.
- DocumentĀ decisions and how to test/use your services.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Within 6ā18 months you will:
- Independently deliverĀ simple ā moderately complexĀ enhancements end-to-end with solid estimates.
- Extend shared test/utilities as needed for your servicesĀ (youāre not a test-framework team).
- Write concise technical docs for engineers, QA, support, and ops.

Who Weāre Looking For
- 6ā10 yearsĀ building and shipping production services/features.
- C#/.NET (ASP.NET Core, Web API), SQL Server; microservices fundamentals (service boundaries, resiliency, observability).
- Quality-through-code (must-have):Ā you routinely addĀ unit/integration/contractĀ tests for the code you ship; comfortable withĀ Playwright/Cypress or Postman/NewmanĀ for targeted e2e;Ā GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/JenkinsĀ for CI/CD and quality gates.
- Generative AI fluency (must-have):Ā practical experienceĀ usingĀ coding assistants to accelerate delivery, crafting prompts, checking/ground-truthing outputs, and safely handling code/data (privacy & IP). Bonus: generating test data/cases, PR summaries, or simple internal automations; exposure to vendor AI features or no/low-code connectors
- Strong API design & documentation; SOAP familiarity is a plus.
- Solid engineering practices: OOP,Ā SOLID, data structures/algorithms, Git, reviews, reproducible builds.
- Azure/DevOpsĀ exposure desirable (pipelines,Ā IaCĀ basics, monitoring).
- Automation mindset:Ā linters/formatters, build/deploy scripts, DB migrations, scaffolding/code-gen.
- Clear communicator; collaborates well with Product/QA/Ops;Ā change agentĀ within 6ā12 months.
- Nice to have:Ā Insurance domain exposure (claims/policy/billing/underwriting).
- HybridĀ roleĀ (we just built a brand-new office space!)
