The role requires deep practical knowledge of Fenergo KYC and Client Lifecycle Management capabilities, with the ability to translate financial crime policies, regulatory requirements and operational processes into maintainable platform configurations.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary Fenergo delivery team, partnering with AFC Operations, Compliance, Product, Architecture, Engineering, Testing and third-party delivery partners. They will be expected to take ownership of platform changes from requirements and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment and production support.
This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong Fenergo product expertise, sound engineering discipline and an understanding of KYC, client lifecycle management and financial crime controls.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Fenergo Platform Configuration
• Configure and maintain Fenergo KYC and Client Lifecycle Management capabilities across onboarding, event-driven reviews, periodic reviews, remediation and offboarding journeys.
• Configure workflows, lifecycle stages, activities, tasks, routing rules, approvals, queues, servicelevel targets and exception-handling processes.
• Configure data capture requirements, entity and party types, documents, declarations, ownership and control structures, related parties and beneficial ownership requirements.
• Implement and maintain client risk assessment models, due-diligence requirements and riskbased processing rules.
• Configure user roles, permissions, work groups and segregation-of-duties controls.

• Maintain clear documentation of configuration decisions, dependencies and design rationale.
Policy and Rules Management
• Translate AFC policies, KYC standards and regulatory obligations into executable Fenergo rules and configuration.
• Configure and maintain policy rules covering data, documentation, jurisdiction, legal-entity type, product, relationship, ownership and control requirements.
• Configure due-diligence requirements, including simplified, standard and enhanced due diligence.
• Implement policy scoping and applicability rules that determine the requirements applied to clients and related parties.
Support the implementation and maintenance of customer risk-rating methodologies and associated decision rules.
• Perform impact assessments for policy or regulatory changes and identify affected workflows, rules, data requirements and integrations.
• Establish effective governance, traceability and version control for policy configuration.
Integration Development and Management
• Design, configure and support integrations between Fenergo and LSEG systems, data providers and financial crime services.
• Develop and maintain integrations using the platform’s supported APIs, events, webhooks, connectors, batch interfaces and internal integration mechanisms.
• Integrate Fenergo with systems including party master data, CRM, product and account platforms, screening services, identity-verification providers, document repositories, workflow services and reporting platforms.
• Define and maintain interface contracts, field mappings, validation rules, error handling, retry processes and reconciliation controls.
• Support inbound and outbound data orchestration across Fenergo lifecycle processes.
• Diagnose integration failures across application, API, data and downstream-system boundaries.
• Work with enterprise and solution architects to ensure integrations conform to LSEG security, data and technology standards.
Environment and Release Management
• Configure and maintain Fenergo environments across development, testing, pre-production and production.
• Manage configuration promotion between environments using controlled and repeatable deployment processes.
• Maintain environment-specific settings, integration endpoints, reference data and configuration dependencies.
• Support release planning, deployment preparation, implementation, verification and rollback activities.
• Conduct configuration comparisons and identify unintended differences or configuration drift between environments.
• Coordinate with Fenergo SaaS support and internal platform teams on upgrades, patches, maintenance windows and service changes.
• Assess the impact of vendor releases and ensure that required regression testing and remediation activities are completed.
• Maintain release documentation, implementation records and audit evidence.
Engineering and Delivery
• Participate throughout the delivery lifecycle, including discovery, requirements elaboration, solution design, configuration, development, testing and implementation.
• Review requirements and solution designs to identify ambiguity, product constraints, integration risks and design defects.
• Provide estimates and technical input into backlog refinement, sprint planning and release planning.
• Create configuration specifications, technical designs, interface mappings and operational support documentation.
• Develop automated or repeatable approaches for configuration validation, deployment and regression testing where supported.
Support system, integration, regression, performance and user-acceptance testing.
• Investigate defects, determine root causes and implement sustainable resolutions.
• Contribute to coding, configuration, documentation and engineering standards for the Fenergo platform.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and deliver committed outcomes within agreed sprint and release timelines.
Production Support and Platform Operations
• Provide technical support for Fenergo services and business-critical KYC processes.
• Investigate production incidents involving workflow, policy, rules, data, integration, access or platform configuration.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Monitor recurring incidents, process bottlenecks, failed integrations and data-quality issues.
• Support service-management processes, including incident, problem, change and release management.
• Maintain operational runbooks, support procedures, known-error records and recovery guidance.
• Work with Fenergo and third-party support teams to manage product defects and platform incidents through to resolution.
• Ensure production changes comply with LSEG change-management, security and operationalrisk requirements.
Technical Leadership and Supplier Oversight
• Act as a subject-matter expert for Fenergo KYC SaaS capabilities and configuration practices.
• Guide other developers and configurators in the effective use of the platform.
• Review configuration, designs and technical deliverables produced by internal teams and delivery partners.
• Check and challenge third parties on requirements interpretation, solution quality, platform fit, maintainability and engineering standards.
• Identify solutions that introduce unnecessary customisation, duplication or operational complexity.
• Promote configuration reuse, standard patterns and consistent implementation across client journeys.
• Support knowledge transfer and reduce reliance on individual suppliers or subject-matter experts.
• Explain Fenergo capabilities, constraints and design trade-offs clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Essential Experience
• Significant hands-on experience configuring and delivering Fenergo KYC or Client Lifecycle Management solutions.
• Demonstrable experience implementing Fenergo within a SaaS delivery model.
• Strong understanding of Fenergo workflows, policy rules, data requirements, document requirements, risk models and related-party structures.
• Experience configuring client onboarding, periodic review, event-driven review, remediation or offboarding journeys.
• Experience implementing KYC and AML policies through configurable rules and decision logic.
• Practical experience designing, implementing or supporting Fenergo integrations using APIs and supported platform integration mechanisms.
Experience managing configuration and releases across multiple Fenergo environments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex defects spanning configuration, workflow, data and integration layers.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams and controlled enterprise change processes.
• Experience reviewing and challenging the work of systems integrators, software vendors or other third-party delivery partners.
• Experience producing clear technical, configuration and operational documentation.
KYC and Financial Crime Knowledge
• Good understanding of customer and legal-entity onboarding processes.
• Understanding of KYC, customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence.

About the company
finban gives small and mid-sized companies a clear view of their financial future. The platform connects bank accounts (PSD2), accounting systems such as DATEV, Lexware Office and sevdesk, payment providers like Stripe and PayPal, CRM systems and spreadsheets — and consolidates them into a single, always-current liquidity plan.
What sets finban apart is how it handles data. Instead of forcing one source of truth, actuals from the bank, open receivables and payables from accounting, and forward-looking budget assumptions coexist side by side. As real payments come in, they replace the plan automatically. The result is a forecast that stays accurate without manual maintenance.
Built in Germany, finban today serves primarily the DACH market — with an integration and banking layer designed to extend across Europe and beyond. It's made for companies of up to around 100 employees: teams that need serious financial visibility but don't have a dedicated treasury department to produce it.
