Job Title - Senior Drupal Developer

Location: WFH (anywhere)

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the development and implementation of complex Drupal-based solutions, including custom module development, theming, and site building.
• Architect Drupal solutions based on project requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support in Drupal development best practices and techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and clients, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend Drupal modules and tools to streamline development processes and enhance functionality.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, adherence to coding standards, and best practices.
• Contribute to the Drupal community through module development, patches, and participation in forums and discussions.
• Stay updated with the latest Drupal trends, technologies, and best practices, advocating for their adoption within the organization.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on Drupal-related projects, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Drupal CMS, with a focus on Drupal 8/9 development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP programming language and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Extensive experience in custom Drupal module development, theming, and site building.
• In-depth knowledge of Drupal APIs, hooks, and best practices for extending and customizing functionality.
• Demonstrated experience architecting Drupal solutions, including complex integrations and migrations.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code collaboration tools.
• Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility guidelines, and SEO best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering Drupal projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Drupal certification (e.g., Acquia Certified Developer) is a plus.
• Experience with other CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla) and frameworks (e.g., Symfony) is a plus.

Software Developer duties and responsibilities

• Experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Zend, Drupal etc.)
• Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules.

• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software along with the databases to ensure strong functionality and optimization.

• Experience in implementing the common 3rd party APIs such as Facebook, Google, etc.
• Knowledge of developing web services will be preferred.

• Develop user-facing UI for large and complicated web applications (developed in PHP-based frameworks etc).

• Optimize UI code, CSS, and JavaScript for best performance.
• Maintain, fix bugs and improve code.
• Make HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work well across browser platforms.
• Developing clean, optimized and fully responsive UI.
• If have knowledge in technologies like angular.js, react.js, vue. js , can work on project scopes.
  
  

Required Skills

1. Excellent HTML5 and CSS3 knowledge in Web/mobile projects and responsive UI.

1. Must have the ability to convert PSD to web standards HTML5/XHTML.
2. Strong understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
3. Excellent in JavaScript.

1. Expertise in at least one JavaScript framework/library (like React, Angular, Vue, etc) will be preferred.

1. Excellent jQuery knowledge (Must have knowledge of Ajax, DOM Implementation, Event binding).

1. Ability to create advanced interactions using jQuery.

1. Should be able to handle UI issues related to cross-browser Compatibility (i.e. 10+), cross-platform issues.
