WeMakeScholars is an organization funded and supported by the Ministry of IT, Government of India under the 'Digital India Campaign'. We offer international education finance via scholarships and education loans, to study abroad aspirants. We are currently a 120 members team. Last financial year, we disbursed 2200 Cr in education loans to 8300 students across India.

We are looking for a PHP Developer who is keen to work in a startup environment esp. a product-based company. 

Job Overview:

We are hiring developers (from 0 to 10 experience) with relevant knowledge and experience with the development and deployment of large-scale cloud-native enterprise systems on PHP, REST APIs, Node Js, Flutter, AWS & MySql. 

As a full-stack engineer, you will be working to create scalable, maintainable, bug repellent state of art web applications. 

About Tech Department:

• Our internal tech team is responsible for end-to-end in-house tech support which includes and is not limited to design, development & deployment. 
• We are continuously developing and improvising our products to enhance customer and team experience.
• As we are in the Fintech space, our team has to ensure the database security of the application.

Job Summary:

• Participate in full lifecycle development
• Work closely with product managers and UI/UX designers to analyze requirements
• Review peer code changes
• Make recommendations for design and implementation improvements
• Integrating the Frontend UI with Backend APIs.
• Design and implement APIs for web/mobile (both Android & IOS) applications.
• Work with the Product team in prioritizing development activities for weekly sprints

Experience & Skills Required

• Prior experience- not mandatory 
• Ability to quickly learn - PHP, MySql, JQuery, Ajax, Git
• Have familiarity with- HTML, CSS, JS 
• Strong team player with an open mindset to learn new technologies and Knowledge of common SDLC.
• A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions

• Internships experience
• Worked on own projects 
• Experience in PHP, MySql 

• At least 4 years of experience as a Node.js developer.
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
• Mandatory experience in MongoDB and MySql.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
• Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude.

• should have at least 5 years of proven experience in .net core with entity framework
• You need to work on the existing .net application to create new web APIs with the latest standards using the .net core in the entity framework
• Should have expertise in .net core using the entity framework
• Should be expertise in C# programming & OOPS concepts
• Should have good professional experience in ASP.Net, .Net Core, entityframework, ASP.Net MVC & Web API
• Expertise in .Net framework & Class libraries
• Very strong understanding of JSON, XML, XSD, XSLT
• Very strong knowledge of Web deployment & IIS

Technical skills required:

Skills: Java 8 and above, Rest Web services, MySQL.

Should have deep knowledge of Micro-service development.

Desired Skills:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Design, create and maintain databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to production systems
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, monitor system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Convert complex business requirements into technical specifcations to build scalable and reliable data solutions 
• Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
• Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time on production, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Develop complex query, performance tuning, stored procedures and triggers, scheduled jobs, schema refinement.
• Flexibility to work after office hours for any production issue or production deployment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

Qualifications include:

• 4+ years of database and backend development experience
• Good understanding of database systems and architectures
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Hands on experience with RDBMS and NoSQL data stores like  MySQL and MongoDB
• Experience working with Python scripting and application development
• Experience working with Cloud applications and data stores like AWS RDS is a plus
• In-depth understanding of data management and ETL processes
