iOS Developer

Responsibilities:

·       Develop and maintain mobile applications using Flutter framework

·       Work with UI/UX designers to implement engaging and intuitive user interfaces

·       Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate with RESTful APIs and other services

·       Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality

·       Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in mobile app development

·       Participate in Agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

·       Debug and troubleshoot issues reported by end-users

·       Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets

·       Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders

Requirements:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

·       Strong experience with Flutter framework and Dart programming language

·       Experience with mobile app development for both iOS and Android platforms

·       Strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles

·       Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

·       Experience with Agile development methodologies

About the Role:

You will work closely with the founders to build mobile SDKs for dyte. Our SDKs allows clients to integrate live audio/video interactions in their own app, it optionally comes with its own user interface.

You will be invovled in making a seamless developer product, code that will run in varying frameworks, operating systems and network conditions.

As in any startup, your responsibilities will vary frequently. You will wear multiple hats and will work with many different technologies. You might have to talk to clients directly, and you have an active say in the direction of our product. We want someone who is passionate about working in this type of environment!

You are expected to lead the mobile development for our mobile SDKs and work closely with Designers and Video engineers to push the limits of mobile communication tech.

What you'll do:

● Solve complex architecture problems 

● Be a leader / active contributor to the team to plan, design, and build solutions for our mobile platform. 

● Work on the UI or UI Components for our SDK 

● Ensure the high performance movement of media to and from the device 

● Explore Flutter / React Native internals to build bleeding edge code 

● Explore and optimize the build toolchain to deliver reliable, performant SDKs 

● Deliver maintainable and high-quality code 

● Work closely with the founders to decide the direction of the product. 

● Ensure that our customer's experience is the very best it can be. You might have to interact with the dev team of our initial clients.

Who you are:

● Expert level understanding of one or more mobile tech - Flutter, React Native, iOS (Swift/Obj-C), Android(Java/Kotlin), NDK. 

● You like deep diving into how things work under the hood. 

● You are experienced working with debugging and profiling tools. 

● You like to squeeze out every bit of performance / size improvement out from your code 

● You are intensely curious and passionate about the prospect of diving deep into new technologies, platforms, and problem spaces. 

● You embrace uncertainty. Our space is a rapidly growing one and specifications are continuously changing. 

● You care about the user experience and you know how to build user-friendly mobile applications.

Bonus:

● You have experience with video conferencing, networking , WebRTC concepts 

● You have experience with reverse engineering, specially frida.re 

● You have experience with exploring linux/android/ios internals 

● You have experience with Appium 

● You have experience with continuous integration. Experience with AWS 

● A degree in Computer Science or a similar area

➢ Degree from top engineering college, or equivalent technical background is preferred
➢ Be a self-starter who thrives in a rapidly growing organization
➢ Agility and ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and scope and priorities
➢ 2-4 years of industry experience in iOS Mobile Application design and development, with minimum 2 app deployed in App Store
➢ A deep familiarity with Swift. Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Maps, core Location, core Bluetooth and Core Animation
➢ Strong UX/UI design exposure and experience in making apps work intuitively
➢ Ability to identify issues and improve application performance
➢ Experience in usage of instruments to detect memory leaks for performance optimization
➢ Develop unit and functional test cases
➢ Familiar with the following – Git repository, Restful API, MVC, MVP, MVVM
➢ Strong CS fundamentals (with competencies in algorithms and data structures). Highly accountable and takes ownership, with collaborative attitude, and a lifelong learner.
➢ Experience with third-party libraries and APIs Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle 

Software engineering - Bengaluru and remote

1. We expect you to have your domain knowledge of Flutter, Dart, Room or Realm DB, BLOC pattern based development, Redux and RX Dart

6. In terms of day to day work, for 2 years you should have done the following:
1. At least 2 to 3 live projects in Flutter or Native Android or iOS
2. Thorough understanding of Dart programming for mobile application development
3. Writing frontend code with SOLID principle
4. Unit testing of your code with Travis CLI
5. Collaborative development with BitBucket or GIT and handling of code merge conflicts
6. Documenting frontend code 
7. Knowledge of Android native and iOS native is a plus
8. Proficient in Linux,  and understanding of Ubuntu OS
9. Knowledge on Firebase or Firestore is a plus
