
The VTL / CNC / VMC / HMC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machine tools to produce precision components as per drawings and specifications. The role includes machine setup, tool handling, quality checks, and ensuring production targets are met while following safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate VTL, CNC, VMC, and HMC machines for machining operations
- Set up machines, load programs, and select appropriate tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Monitor machining processes and make minor adjustments as required
- Perform dimensional inspection using vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain production records and inspection reports
- Identify machine issues, tool wear, or defects and report to supervisors
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards (5S)
- Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives
