JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Currently hiring for the position of Android Developer responsible for developing app from scratch.

We are looking to recruit a candidate for a role that will require:

● Translate design and wireframes into code

● Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code

● Identify solutions through research and collaboration that resolves the root of problems as they arise

● Unit testing code

● Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications

Requirement

5+ years’ strong development experience in android

Experience using RESTful web services within mobile applications

∙ Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

∙ Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

∙ Experience with code versioning control, such as bitbucket/git

Experience in writing code using kotlin is an advantage

Education: Engineering

Bringing up Android on custom hardware 

•  Android OS modifications, HAL interface definition language (C++ and Java)
•  Android, JNI and Android application performance optimization 

 Preferred Skills and Experience:

•  Experience in Java or Kotlin development (preferably Android) 
•  Experience in C/C++ with deep understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming. 
•  Experience with GIT or similar repository management and version control tools. Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and Agile methodology. 
•  Development in a Linux environment with emphasis on Unit testing alongside functional integration testing. 
•  Android-For-Work, Android Enterprise features and EMM/MDM management solutions 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualizing and formulating apps that are suitable for use on all types of Android devices.
• Implementing measures to safeguard users' data.
• Ensuring that the construction and presentation of your apps are congruent with the company's standards.
• Proofreading your code and correcting mistakes before each app is released.
• Collaborating with UI and UX Designers, as well as Software Testers, to ensure that each app is presentable and in perfect working order.
• Liaising with the marketing department to ensure consistency in our company's 'voice' across the board.
• Monitoring app reviews to detect areas for improvement.
• Creating app updates, including bug fixes and additional features, for release.

Key Competencies (Functional):

• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or C++.
• Ability to use the Android Studio, including the Android SDK, with ease.
• Proficient in code versioning tools including Mercurial, Git, and SVN.
• Knowledge of C-based libraries.
• Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
• Experience with continuous integration.

We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Responsibilities: 

• Work with an open-source iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks. 
• Work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and realize products.  
• Build reusable iOS software components for the platform.  

• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.   
• Work on bug fixing to improve application performance and shipping new features as required 
   

  Requirements:  

• Experience with iOS Design patterns, memory management, REST web-services and JSON Parsing. Designing and building advanced applications for the iOS platform 
•  Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features 

• Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform  
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance  
• Can integrate apps with backend and 3rd party API’s. 
• Good programming skills in Objective-C/Swift and extensive knowledge of Apples SDKs and frameworks like Core Data, Core Graphics, Foundation, UIKit, etc.  
• Have published one or more applications in an iOS App Store. 

• Knowledge of iOS App Store deployment process.
