o Fatakpay Digital Private Ltd (Fatakpay) is a digital-only lending platform that provides short-term personal loans (STPL) through QR-based credit lines. It was founded by a team of 4 professionals having over 70+ years of combined experience.

o A 100% digital and paperless Fintech platform featuring proprietary customer scoring, credit

decisioning and credit algorithms

o Provides instant credit line approvals based on borrower’s eKYC and Credit Bureau checks

and other ML scoring mechanisms.

o Customers can use this credit line to make day-to-day payments with QR codes.

Brief Business Model:

o Employs B2B2C model for focused distribution and strong credit underwriting

o, Target workforce cost-intensive sectors such as Facility Management, Security Services |

BPO, KPO, Call Centre | Retail& Hyperlocal | Logistics | Education etc.

o Aims to provide credit for daily expenses or out of pocket expenses for Blue-collar

workers, delivery personnel, sales & field agents, admin staffs through the employer

partnership and HRMS tie-up route.

We are currently building our platform, including the core team. We are expected to launch in mid-Jan 2022.

Tech Lead will be part of the senior leadership, working closely with the Founders to drive the company forward and impact its customers. The incumbent will work on new technologies and preside over the entire frontend and backend teams. Most importantly, the incumbent should be enthusiastic about helping the company grow and feeding off a fast-paced start-up environment.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the Engineering team to deliver to the product roadmap, emphasising Agile web development processes, focusing on achieving high-quality results aggressively, faster-to-market.
• Additionally, you will work closely with the founder and the product team to refine and iterate on the product roadmap from time to time.
• Developing the engineering team by providing coaching and mentoring to your team members, challenging individuals for peak performance and developing a logical career path for the department
• Solve challenging technology problems - a large part of the product roadmap consists of products/features that would be unique.
• You will work closely with our technical architects, senior engineers, and more on designing and nurturing our product infrastructure as well as architecture.
• Partner with cross-functional core stakeholders in engineering, product management, program management, release management, QA, design, performance engineering, sales, and professional services teams to lead the technology vision and direction.
• Adjusting methodologies as necessary; anticipate technology changes and take steps to ensure development stays ahead or on track of the product roadmap

Requirements:

• 4-7+ years of functional architecture, software design, engineering, and implementation experience in a complex and fast-moving start-up or mid-scale company environment.
• Build, lead and motivate a team of high performing engineers. Align the team to incorporate new technologies and processes to maximise development efficiency at the same time will to get hands dirty when it is in the best interest of the group (e.g., occasional coding and willingness to pick up new languages)
• Well informed of available technology solutions/technology trends and choose viable technology options for the Business Leadership
• Strong expertise in Systems Architecture, API based codebase, Cloud Computing, and Storage Platforms. Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices and change management in the aggregator/platform space.
• Deep knowledge of the front end, middleware and backend technologies such as Python, ReactJS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Recent hands-on experience in the development of enterprise-grade API(s). Recent experience with agile development methodologies is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rewrite existing APIs in NodeJS.
• Remodel the APIs into Micro services-based architecture.
• Implement a caching layer wherever possible.
• Optimize the API for high performance and scalability.
• Write unit tests for API Testing.
• Automate the code testing and deployment process.

Skills Required:

1. At least 3 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS — should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds.
2. Excellent hands-on experience using MySQL or any other SQL Database.
3. Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database.
4. Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases.
5. Experience with graph-based databases like GraphQL and Neo4j.
6. Experience developing and deploying REST APIs.
7. Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks.
8. Good understanding of advanced JS libraries and frameworks.
9. Experience with Web sockets, Service Workers, and Web Push Notifications.
10. Familiar with NodeJS profiling tools.
11. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
12. Good knowledge of creating and maintaining DevOps infrastructure on cloud platforms.
13. Should be a fast learner and a go-getter — without any fear of trying out new things Preferences.
14. Experience building a large-scale social or location-based app.

Key initial responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and compile high quality code, data artifacts , processes, in support of the buildout of our platform and web applications
• Collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Designers and Front-end developers to establish and satisfy development objectives
• Foster innovation supporting new and existing programs, products, and features through a combination of thought leadership and emerging industry trends
• Reconciling data and reporting deliverables to internal and client teams

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field. Relevant experience of at least 3 years in lieu of above if from a different stream of education.

• Well-versed in and 3+ hands-on demonstrable experience with: ▪ Stream & Batch Big Data Pipeline Processing using Apache Spark and/or Apache Flink.

• 3+ years of hands-on development experience in Apache Spark using Scala and/or Java.

• In-depth knowledge of standard programming languages such as Scala and/or Java.

• 3+ years of hands-on development experience in one or more libraries & frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Akka, Apache Storm, Apache Nifi, Zookeeper, Hadoop ecosystem (i.e., HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Oozie & Hive), etc.; extra points if you can demonstrate your knowledge with working examples.

• 3+ years of hands-on development experience in one or more Relational and NoSQL datastores such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, HBase, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elastic Search, Neo4J, etc.

• Practical knowledge of distributed systems involving partitioning, bucketing, CAP theorem, replication, horizontal scaling, etc.

• Passion for distilling large volumes of data, analyze performance, scalability, and capacity performance issues in Big Data Platforms.

• Ability to clearly distinguish system and Spark Job performances and perform spark performance tuning and resource optimization.

• Perform benchmarking/stress tests and document the best practices for different applications.

• Proactively work with tenants on improving the overall performance and ensure the system is resilient, and scalable.

• Good understanding of Virtualization & Containerization; must demonstrate experience in technologies such as Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, OpenShift, Anthos, Oracle VirtualBox, Vagrant, etc.

• Well-versed with demonstrable working experience with API Management, API Gateway, Service Mesh, Identity & Access Management, Data Protection & Encryption.

  Hands-on experience with demonstrable working experience with DevOps tools and platforms viz., Jira, GIT, Jenkins, Code Quality & Security Plugins, Maven, Artifactory, Terraform, Ansible/Chef/Puppet, Spinnaker, etc.

• Well-versed in AWS and/or Azure or and/or Google Cloud; must demonstrate experience in at least FIVE (5) services offered under AWS and/or Azure or and/or Google Cloud in any categories: Compute or Storage, Database, Networking & Content Delivery, Management & Governance, Analytics, Security, Identity, & Compliance (or) equivalent demonstrable Cloud Platform experience.

• Good understanding of Storage, Networks and Storage Networking basics which will enable you to work in a Cloud environment.

• Good understanding of Network, Data, and Application Security basics which will enable you to work in a Cloud as well as Business Applications / API services environment.
