Job Description:

We are helping hire for an early-stage Stealth Mode funded gaming startup that is looking for a dynamic User Experience Designer to join their talented team! 
The frontend engineer will relish the subtle interaction details that make the products delightful, write highly reusable code and think about how to build better systems. Product intuition is as much a necessity as technical knowledge.

# WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Build user interfaces that are beautiful, consistent, and fast.
• Invent patterns and reusable components that our team can assemble to build powerful software workflows.
• Take sole ownership of your product(s) - keep a keen eye out for bugs that might arise, passionately resolve them; make feature additions to your product; or sometimes, when you're feeling ambitious - rewrite the whole product from scratch! (Don't make this a habit though.)
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability


# SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• 3+ years of experience in building and shipping products that people use every day
• Prior startup experience is mandatory. (Brownie points for someone who has worked in the gaming industry)
• Be able to write clean, maintainable code which others can work on
• Should have working knowledge on frontend frameworks and tools- NodeJS expertise is a bonus
• Have knowledge of browser behavior, performance, compatibility and cross-browser issues
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• You take pride in working on advanced CSS, animations and responsiveness
• Ability to own end to end responsibility - right from requirement to release
• Ability to produce bug-free and production grade code
• The skills that we consider - CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, LESS, SASS, Bootstrap, Express.

Skills required:

1. Strong JavaScript fundamentals.
2. Good understanding of ES6 and other next gen JavaScript constructs.
3. Understanding of the nuances of JavaScript like async programming using promises and
callbacks, scope, closures, higher order functions as well as object oriented
programming.
4. A good understanding of reactive programming using frameworks such as Vue, Angular or React and state management for complex, multi component views.
6. Ability to write DRY code, and create reusable components with a good separation of
concerns.
7. Familiarity with build tools. Knowledge of build and packaging using webpack or other
similar tools.
8. Good understanding of CSS and HTML, basics of UI design and experience with
designing a responsive and intuitive UI.
9. Proficiency with browser based dev tools for debugging logic, performance, network and
other issuess
10. Knowledge of web fundamentals such as Http, REST API design etc.
11. Data Modelling and basics of relational and NoSQL databases.
12. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with high level and sometimes ambiguous
requirements, interacting with multiple stakeholders to drive a feature to completion.

Good to have:

1. Typescript, SASS, SCSS, Testing tools - such as jest, jasmine, mocha
2. Familiarity with Vue JS and it's ecosystem - Vuex, Vue Router, Quasar / Vuetify or other
similar component libraries.

Job Title

As a Senior Experience Technologist, you’ll be working as part of an agile team with other passionate, driven, and talented people, creating innovative solutions for our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include developing interactive web-based, mobile, and/or desktop applications using Sapient as well as industry best practices to deliver high value and quality to Publicis Sapient clients.
What are we looking for in you?
• Technical end-to-end design for stories by collaborating with business analyst/product owner, technical architect and clients
• Implement stories end-to-end, which includes Frontend, Backends for Frontend (BFF), Caching and also service orchestration in some cases) using best engineering practices like test-driven development, SOLID principles and consideration of non-functional requirements like performance, scalability, security or cloud readiness (as applicable) at the story level
• Automates testing at unit, module and integration level as needed using tools relevant for the platform (e.g. Jasmine, Jest, Karma, Webdriver.io etc.)
• Focus on quality by implementing best practices like logging, calling out technical debt, meeting KPIs using code quality tools like SonarQube, ESLint (customize and sync with Sonar), Stylelint/Sasslint and so on.
• Hands-on with automating redundant work, like common component structure, both in terms of scaffolding as well as using the right design patterns / creating abstractions.
• Mentor junior engineers in helping review code, guiding on technical decision making
Key Requirements:
• 4-9 years’ experience
• Hands-on knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Hands-on experience working with Object Oriented JavaScript (OOJS), JavaScript - and practical uses in building complex interactive experiences, primarily with ECMAScript 2015+. You should be up-to-date with new specifications (different stages), and also, using transpilers like Babel to use features from all stages
• Good understanding of creational and structural design patterns in JavaScript
• Experience working with Single Page Applications (SPA) with universal rendering capabilities.
• Good understanding of React.js, its core principles - lifecycle methods, virtual DOM etc. and at least 6 – 12 months hands-on experience with the same
• Understanding of one-way data flow and the Flux architecture.
• Understanding of stateful (container) vs stateless (presentational) components and how to break down the application page into components
• Core understanding of how React’s state management works out of the box.

• Logically understands relational databases like MySQL and non-relational databases like MongoDB and can manage to work with it.

• Hands-on experience working with client-side templating languages like Handlebars, Mustache, etc.

• Hands-on with DevOps pipeline and able to tweak/change build/deployment pipeline as needed in the context of a module (e.g. Jenkins / Travis / Now.sh / Gitlab)
• Experience with configuring Webpack from scratch and working knowhow of Rollup / Parcel.
Education:
