Software Engineer (Web/UI Engineer)

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on SDE 3 - FE to build and optimize scalable, user-friendly applications with a focus on micro frontend architectures. The ideal candidate will blend strong UI engineering skills with modern frontend practices, ensuring responsive, secure, and high-quality experiences aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities

●      Design & Build: Develop scalable, performant front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and Micro Frontend architecture.

●      Code Quality: Review PRs, enforce best practices, and introduce patterns to reduce technical debt.

●      UI/UX Excellence: Deliver pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible UIs across devices and browsers.

●      Performance: Optimise rendering, bundling, caching, and load times for smooth user experiences.

●      Mentorship: Guide and mentor mid/junior engineers, run design/code walkthroughs, and foster a culture of technical excellence.

●      AI-driven Development: Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation in day-to-day workflows.

Criteria:

Experience: ~5–7+ years in software development, with proven expertise in React, modern frontend architectures, and building scalable user interfaces.

Technical Skills

●      Strong proficiency in React.js (v17+), TypeScript, and modern frontend workflows.

●      Experience with Micro Frontend architectures (e.g., Module Federation, Webpack, or similar approaches).

●      Solid expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and mandatory proficiency with Bootstrap for responsive design.

●      Knowledge of Blade templates for frontend-backend integration.

●      Good-to-have: Tailwind CSS and Material UI for component-based design systems.

●      Deep understanding of state management (Redux, Recoil, or equivalent).

●      Experience with frontend performance optimisation and browser dev tools.

●      Familiar with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).

●      Proficiency with Docker and containerised environments.

Profile Overview:

We are looking for passionate and keen-eyed front-end developers with 5+ years of experience in React JS for a major project to join our creative front-end development team who can add optimization and efficiency to the user experience and maintain brand consistency across all web page of the web products.

The front-end developer will closely coordinate with our back-end developers, graphic designers and UI designers to ensure all elements of the web creation are consistent.

Responsibilities:

• Turning UI/UX designs into prototypes, creating excellent interactive forms of designs, writing reusable modules and maintainability of the code.

• Implement UI development principles to ensure that the product client-side serves at scale.

• Review and optimize the application usage by monitoring key metrics and rectifying the issues proactively.

• Determining the structure and design of web pages.

• Ensuring user experience by analyzing the design choices.

• Developing features to enhance the user experience.

• Striking balance between functional and aesthetic design.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer applications or related fields.
• Proven working experience as a React Developer for 5+ years and above.
• Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, and  CSS frameworks.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Web services, Web API, REST services & GraphQL.
• Expertise in UI design and development of responsive web applications using React, Redux, Flask and Hooks.
• Applicable knowledge of Social API integration, Core location APIs, Web Views, Payments integration
• Proficiency in understanding layout aesthetics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Ability to solve novel and challenging React problems.
• Capability to understand, develop and sustain continuous integration and delivery.

➢    Expert in React JS with about 4 years of experience

➢    Experience in using libraries like D3, Material UI, style sheets and theme management

➢    Should be able to understand requirements & design, develop efficient React JS Code, should have used tools to automate the test and deployment to production

➢    Should have good knowledge on REST APIs, Error handling and writing Unit and Integration Tests

➢    Knowledge of Java is desirable

Responsibilities

➢    Understand the Visual Designs, Functional Requirements and come up with the design/components needed to build the user interface.

➢    Work with Visual Designers to understand the graphic design patterns, themes, and implement in a structured way in the product front end

➢    Work with server side microservices team to develop the JSON contracts

➢    Develop efficient React JS code to implement these requirements

➢    Automate the testing and deployment of these components to production

• REQUIREMENTS

  • Write hand-coded HTML5, JS, and CSS(SCSS) that is thoroughly standards-compliant.

  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

  • You know how to architect all components of a frontend project

  • You have experience reading API documentation and working with different endpoints to compose the desired effect

  • You know how to run projects through solid processes (things like code reviews, reviewing stories, planning)

  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

  • Picks up new technologies quickly and efficiently

  • Uses Git effectively

  • Know how to create tests and why it's important

  • Knowledge of OOP and software design principles

  • You know how to optimize frontend load times, debug rendering issues, and overall provide a smooth experience to the user.

  • Knowledge of responsive frontends

  • You don't have to be an expert in backend tech, but you'll need to understand how to integrate with the backend guys.

  • Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
