Software Engineer - Backend

Job Description

• 8+ years of experience to Lead, coach and mentor team of 5-8 full stack and backend engineers
• Write high quality code
• Champion coding standards and re-usable components
• Influence the technical direction of the engineering team
• Partner with Product Managers in designing and defining new features
• Serve as a key member of a Scrum team
• Participate and potentially lead Communities-of-Practice programs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of large-scale distributed ecommerce systems experience
• Expert understanding of Java, database, and messaging technologies
• Enthusiasm for constant improvement as a Software Engineer
• Ability to communicate clearly effectively and motivate team members
• Reactive Java a plus
• Passionate about Ecommerce and retail a plus

Technical Skill Set

• Java (Core & Advanced)
• Spring Boot, RESTful Services, Reactive Java (preferred)                                                                    
• Vue.js, Web Components (Lit Framework)
• Oracle, Cassandra
• Apache Kafka
• System Design, Microservices Architecture, Scalable & Event-Driven Systems

• Proficient knowledge of Django and Django REST framework 
• Experience and good understanding of Redis
• Good knowledge and understanding of PostgreSQL or other relational databases 
• Proficient in NoSQL document databases especially MongoDB. 
• Understanding of threading and multiprocessing in Python, and multi-process architecture 
• Good-enough understanding of version control systems like Git or Mercurial 
• Strong unit-test and debugging skills 
• Knowledge of container technologies (specially Docker) and orchestration systems is a plus 
• Strong understanding of various Python Libraries, APIs, and toolkits
• Excellent understanding of MVC and OOP
• Rapid prototyping skills for getting product feedback 
• Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodology

What kind of work will you get?

We are looking for a java developer.

Examples of technical tasks:

Working on our backend SDK to implement APIs that will be consumed by the frontend widgets

Designing APIs for different auth recipes

Architecting auth flows

You will also be given non technical tasks like product brain storming, competitor analysis and writing documentation.

Requirements

Well versed in java with 2+ years of professional experience

Familiar with and comfortable working with Web frameworks like FastAPI, Django and Flask

Familiar with HTTP networking in java

Strong understanding of async and sync modes in java

Bonus:

Contributed to open source, or have your own open source repo with a community and many github stars

Built an in-house authentication or authorization solution or worked with solutions such as Keycloak, Auth0, Ory, Okta etc

This will involve a discussion to assess the breadth and depth of your technical knowledge and general questions on various technical topics.

You will not be asked to write any code

Role :
We are looking for an experienced Java or full-stack developer who is passionate about developing solutions that improve healthcare. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience building large-scale web applications. 

You will be expected to define/scope feature-sets and develop new functions. You will be a part of the team that is focussed on our one of many industry leading software solutions, designing scalable/maintainable object oriented architecture and producing market leading, self-testable deliverables. 

You are expected to be a technology enthusiast, who likes to think out of the box, embraces new technology alternatives, has a creative mind and is a go-getter.

Qualifications:

• Education : BE/MS/M. Tech/MCS/MCS with excellent records
• Server side :  Java/J2EE, REST API development, RESTful web services, Spring Boot framework, JAX-RS APIs

• Concepts : Strong understanding of Data Structures, Concurrency, Mult-threading, Design patterns, Java packages, Garbage collection, collections, JVM, JDBC

• ORM : Mybatis, Hibernate

Skills:

• At least 4 years of SAAS software development experience.
• Experience in cloud computing application implementations on AWS is a MUST!
• Excellent understanding of microservices architecture, design patterns, and standard methodologies with an eye towards scale, automation, resiliency, and high availability
• Experience with build-time dependency management (e.g. Ant, Maven); unit testing and code-coverage tools; test automation techniques and tools; and build automation tools (e.g. Jenkins,) tools is required. 
• Strong understanding of Java is expected 
• Good understanding of architectural principles involved in SaaS and multi-tenant platforms. 
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and negotiation skills
