We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer who will be pivotal in architecting and developing scalable, reliable backend systems from scratch. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build new products, design backend architectures, and ensure high performance and responsiveness of the systems. This role requires strong backend fundamentals, cloud experience, a deep understanding of databases, and a passion for system design and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

● Product Development: Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy new backend products and features from scratch.

● System Design: Take ownership of system design and architecture decisions for new modules, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. ● API Development: Build efficient and reusable APIs and backend services using Node.js.

● Database Management: Design data models, optimize queries, and manage MongoDB clusters efficiently.

● Cloud Management: Deploy, maintain, and optimize services on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.

● Best Practices: Maintain coding standards, ensure code reviews, and champion best practices in security, testing, and maintainability.

● Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, QA, and other cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

● Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and ensure system uptime and responsiveness.

● Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers as required.

Qualifications:

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

● Experience: 4–5+ years of hands-on backend development experience.

Requirements:

• 5 + Years – 6+ Years of Coding & Development Expertise in ASP.Net / .Net Core & C#.

• Should have good exposure to using web-based technologies (ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS3, Web API, Bootstrap).
• Hands on Experience on Relational database like SQL is a must knowledge on Database Linking is very important including understanding Processing Logic.
• Experience in developing enterprise grade software with MVC, MVVM or MVP would be a Plus.

Role and Responsibilities:

• As a backend developer, your primary focus will be the development of all server-side systems
• A basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. You will test, secure and deploy your code
• Work experience on Node.js is a must along with a server-side framework like Express.js
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Experience and proficiency integrating with REST APIs
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience in working with databases such as MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc.
• AgileScrum development cycle understanding.

Skills Required:

• At least 2 years of experience developing backends using NodeJS should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds.

• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases.
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs.
• Knowledge and working experience in Cloud environment - AWS or Azure

• Lead one of the product verticals in the development of technology strategy, planning, hiring and execution of the next iteration of the WeInvest platform.

• Institutionalize a strong software engineering culture and facilitate a rapid, iterative, layered development approach.

• Be hands on with the coding, evaluate design and architecture choices, do in-depth code reviews, and implement standards and practices for software development.

• Inspire the engineering team to build quality, scalable code by pairing with team members periodically.

• Participate in the definition and management of high-quality product roadmaps based on business, product & tech strategy.

• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Masters /BE/ B.Tech from a reputed institute

• About 6-10 years professional experience in software development.

• Excellent logical and analytical reasoning capabilities combined with strong knowledge of core

computer science concepts like algorithms, data structures, software design patterns, OOP etc.

• Should have experience in all the phases of SDLC

• Must have experience in leading a team. (At least 2-3 people)

• Be an expert in ruby on rails with experience OR from Fintech, Wealth Management OR Investment

• Management Domain with experience in any of the programming languages (Java/Python/Ruby).

• Breadth of experience in multiple technologies, tools, frameworks and processes is a big plus.

• Excellent understanding of core computer science concepts like algorithms, data structure,

Software design patterns, OOP etc. Be able to lead the team in design & architecture discussions,

introduce new tools, concepts & process to the team and guide other members of the team.

• Experience working in an agile team with software engineering practices like automated testing,

test- driven-development, continuous integration etc is a big plus.
