We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who can take ownership of backend architecture, scalability, and performance of our ecommerce marketplace platform.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications for ecommerce and multi-vendor marketplace platforms.

Design and build secure and scalable REST APIs for web applications, mobile apps, and third-party integrations.

Architect and maintain clean, modular, and scalable backend systems.

Integrate and maintain payment gateways, shipping APIs, and external services.

Design, manage, and optimize MySQL and MongoDB databases.

Ensure backend performance, scalability, and security best practices.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex backend issues.

Collaborate with frontend, SEO, and operations teams to ensure smooth platform performance.

Implement automation workflows and backend improvements.

Manage deployments and server configurations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong experience in PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter.

Hands-on experience with Node.js.

Strong command over MySQL, SQL, and MongoDB.

Solid experience in REST API development and third-party integrations.

Experience working on ecommerce or multi-vendor marketplace platforms.

Understanding of server management and deployment processes.

Knowledge of SEO-friendly backend architecture.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Good to Have

Experience building scalable ecommerce marketplace systems.

Experience with Docker-based deployments.

Knowledge of caching mechanisms and performance optimization.

Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Programming or a similar field
• 2+ years of experience developing within the Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms
• 2+ years of experience in front-end technologies including, but not limited to, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, SASS, XML
• Troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Interest in staying current and applying the most current best practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment
• A true passion for design and technology
• A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
• Positive attitude, high energy, and love for broadening web development skill set    

The ideal candidate is a highly resourceful and innovative developer with extensive knowledge in the layout, design and coding of websites specifically in PHP format. You must also possess a strong knowledge of web application development using PHP programming language and MySQL Server databases. 

Responsibilities

• Perform a mix of maintenance, enhancements, and new development as required
• Work in a data analyst role and with business intelligence applications
• Document features, technical specifications & infrastructure Responsibilities
• Work cross-functionally to convert business needs into technical specifications

1. We expect you to have your domain knowledge of Php, MySQL, AuroraDB, PostgresSQL, Laravel, Lumen, REST APIs and AWS based scalable backend development
2. There are few skills which you need to have from get-go:

2. You respect time and understand, lost time never  comes back
3. You have the ability to explain your algorithms and solutions and understand how to ask questions with respect to mobile app development and web development scenarios
4. You are a smart and energetic talent from engineering and computer science background 
5. Based on the situations you can contribute individually or work with team and make work productive and fun
6. In terms of day to day work, for 4-5 years you should have done the following:
1. At least 8 to 10 live projects in Laravel, Lumen
2. Handled team of 2 to 3 developers on Php 
3. Thorough understanding of MVC framework in Php using Laravel and Lumen
4. Writing backend code with SOLID principle
5. Unit testing of your code with Travis CLI
6. Hands on experience with MySQL and PostgresSQL
7. Rock solid understanding of Blade template engine
8. Collaborative development with BitBucket or GIT and handling of code merge conflicts
9. Documenting backend code and APIs using Swagger
10. Expert Knowledge of code deployment on AWS is a must
11. Knowledge of NoSQL will be an added advantage
12. Expert in Linux,  and understanding of Ubuntu OS

1. Work location: Bengaluru city and Remote
2. Working days - 6 days a week
