Senior Python Developer

Requirements

• Senior SD4 engineer/Principal Engineer/ Architect who has led or been part of platform teams inside a large/mid tech company
• Deep expertise working with any of the programming languages to write maintainable, scalable, unit-tested code.Python experience is a bonus - but not required
• Good understanding of REST APIs and the web in general and ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion
• Experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Load Balancing
• Experience in building a platform team on AWS for Product based companies/start-ups

What You’ll Do

• Build the core technology platform, including Automated provisioning of infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring of services
• Build a central services directory within an organization that shows the cost and health of all services and makes the management of microservices extremely easy
• This involves working with core infrastructure and understanding them in great detail - like Kubernetes, ServiceMesh, Service security
• Mentor/coach engineers to facilitate their development and provide technical leadership

Responsibilities :

• Lead the development of the backend systems for our client's first product.
• Build reliable, secure, and performant backend systems.
• Drive test coverage and continuous delivery automation within the team.
• Mentor and provide feedback to teammates.
• You should have a min of 8 years of software development experience and management.
• Can write code that is readable, maintainable, secure, and performant.
• Know the importance of tests and how to approach writing different types of tests, good intuition for REST API design
• Deep understanding of relational databases, transactions, entity-relationship modeling.
• Comfortable writing highly concurrent systems.
• Experienced in using profilers, tuning garbage collection, optimizing SQL queries.

Desired Skills :

• Golang, Java, Python, Ruby, Node.

Skills:

• Expertise in Python 3 on AWS serverless
• Experience in AWS serverless stack Appsync, Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, SQS, S3, Code commit & Code Deploy.
• Proficient in modern microservice-based architectures and methodologies.
• Experience in a database technology, preferably No-SQL such as AWS DynamoDB.
• Build human-centric UX with us using technologies like React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and CSS-in-JS.
• Experience building data processing pipelines (SQS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, or similar)
• Deep technical hands-on experience developing in REST/JSON or SOAP/XML, combined with strong knowledge of concepts such as CORs (Cross Origins Resources), headers, security, JSON and http concept.
• Experience with Github and advanced Github features (good to have).
• Must have worked as a part of Agile Teams and DevOps practices such as continuous Integration tools (e.g. Jenkins), code repository, creating CI/CD pipelines is required.

7+ Years of experience in developing large scale applications. 
Solid Domain Knowledge and experience with various Design Patterns & Data Modelling (Associations, OOPs Concepts etc.)
Should have exposure to multiple backend technologies, and databases - both relational and NOSQL databases
Should be aware of latest conventions for APIs
Preferred hands-on experience with GraphQL as well as REST API
Must be well-aware of the latest technological advancements for relevant platforms. 
Advanced Concepts of Databases - Views, Stored Procedures, Database Optimization - are a good to have.

Background Of The Candidate
▪ 4-8 years of experience as a Python Developer
▪ Hands-on knowledge of Django with Postgres SQL and web scrapping is a must
▪ Strong knowledge of OOPS and Python is a must
▪ Knowledge of design/architectural patterns will be considered a plus
▪ Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN
▪ Experience working in an agile development environment with a strong focus on rapid software development
▪ Comfortable with working in Unix/Linux, AWS, Azure and similar cloud technologies

You can work coherently with a diverse set of engineers Responsibilities: a) Design and develop microservices and other technology framework for Omnichannel Retail. b) Build technology for unmanned retail. c) We have critical systems managing inventory, fulfilment, Point-of-sale, customer app etc and we will build many more such systems supporting omni-channel retail. Participate in our product development from ideation to deployment and beyond. Work with our data team to make our product smarter and more intuitive to use. Maintain and help optimise existing systems.
