Senior Full Stack Developer (.NET / React)

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer with 2–6 years of experience in designing and developing scalable web applications using .NET Core, C#, ReactJS, and MS SQL, with exposure to Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the full technology stack and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust full stack applications using .NET Core, C#, ReactJS, and MS SQL.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs to support scalable frontend/backend integration.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to best coding practices, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality and ensure high test coverage.
• Deploy and manage applications in Microsoft Azure and contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills:

• 2–6 years of hands-on experience with .NET Core and C# development.
• Proficient in ReactJS and modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design principles.
• Experience working with MS SQL Server, including writing complex queries and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, etc.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (K8s).
• Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

We’re hiring a hands-on Full-Stack Developer to join as our first technical hire and help turn our operational edge into scalable software. You’ll work directly with the founding team to:

* Build internal and guest-facing tools in React

* Develop a Node.js backend to power core workflows

* Integrate with property management software APIs (e.g., Guesty, Hostaway, Airbnb)

* Implement and extend functionality using AI APIs like OpenAI (required)

Our Stack

Must-Have Skills

* 2+ years of full-stack development experience

Nice to Have

* Background in hospitality, rentals, or operational software

* Experience building dashboards or guest lifecycle tools

* Bonus: Prior experience with Guesty, Hostaway, or PMS APIs

Requirements

• You have been building production web applications for 5+ years and know the systems from top to bottom
• You know SQL and have significant programming experience on the frontend with React
• You have a BS/MS/Ph.D. in a scientific field or equivalent experience
• You want to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment that respects its engineers and customers
• Comfortable working with a 100% distributed engineering team, collaborating on GitHub, Slack, Zoom, etc. in the open and as a self-starter.

• You have backend experience building microservices

Swaypay is looking for a detail driven Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with remote startup experience who is comfortable asking “why?”. We want someone who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and has a track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills.

You'll work with the team to plan, shape, and build our new product features for both mobile and web. You'll get to use some of the latest technologies in order to build the best product possible.

During your time here, you will get the opportunity to work with most (if not all) of our systems — improving consumer facing products, helping to build the API, improving internal tooling, and simplifying our developer experience.

What you’ll do

• Work closely with other developers, UX designers
• Write and test code to ensure stability while refining as necessary

What we’re looking for

• 1+ years of experience with backend technologies such as NodeJS, Golang, or Python
• Understanding of AWS, production deployment, and monitoring tools. K8 / Docker Swarm experience is an added bonus
• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Experience with databases (MySQL or other relational database)
