Senior Engineer (nodeJs)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Developer with 4.5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development, system design, and API integration. You’ll play a key role in designing and building high-performance backend systems that are scalable, secure, and reliable. As a core member of the engineering team, you’ll collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and other developers to deliver quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend components, REST APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to the architectural decisions and system design discussions.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Integrate third-party APIs and work with external systems.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and support the team’s technical growth.
• Work closely with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and non-production environments.
• Keep up with industry trends and advocate for best practices in backend development.

Required Skills:

• 4.5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with Java (Java 8 or above).
• Strong expertise in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Proficient with version control systems like Git and tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerization, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).
• Good knowledge of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements

• 8+ years development experience
• Solid Experience and knowledge of

• Coding and debugging using Object Oriented languages like Java, C++, Go or similar languages.
• Database design, Query optimizations, pitfalls (both SQL, NoSQL)
• Developing Scalable, distributed systems and patterns
• Developing REST and/or GraphQL based APIs
• Writing and driving Clean code in a team (via SOLID principles).
• Knowledge of writing unit tests

Skills & Requirements

      ▪ Work Experience between 2 to 6  years in large scale applications with desire to work  in fast paced startups

      Deep understanding of your tools: Languages, frameworks, systems.

Role / Purpose - Lead Developer - API and Microservices

Must have a strong hands-on development track record building integration utilizing a variety of integration products, tools, protocols, technologies, and patterns.

• Must have an in-depth understanding of SOA/EAI/ESB concepts, SOA Governance, Event-Driven Architecture, message-based architectures, file sharing, and exchange platforms, data virtualization and caching strategies, J2EE design patterns, frameworks
• Should possess experience with at least one of middleware technologies (Application Servers, BPMS, BRMS, ESB & Message Brokers), Programming languages (e.g. Java/J2EE, JavaScript, COBOL, C), Operating Systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, MVS), and Databases (DB2, MySQL, No SQL Databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc.)
• Must have experience implementing API Service architectures (SOAP, REST) using any of the market-leading API Management tools such as Apigee and frameworks such as Spring Boot for Microservices
• Should have Advanced skills in implementing API Service architectures (SOAP, REST) using any of the market-leading API Management tools such as Apigee or similar frameworks such as Spring Boot for Microservices 
• Appetite to manage large-scale projects and multiple tracks
•  Experience and knowhow of the e-commerce domain and retail experience are preferred
•  Good communication & people managerial skills
