Profile - Ruby On Rails Developer

Location - Indore | Full time | Onsite 

• Designing and developing Ruby on Rails web applications/webservices in an agile environment

• Implement AJAX features and functionality using Javascript Integrate and optimise HTML/CSS front-ends Solid experience with RoR, MySQL/Cassandra, Shell Scripting Strong experience in Angular, Javascript, HTML/CSS and web services
• Working experience in using Jquery and D3 Experience in converting UI/UX design to HTML elements/assets
• Experience with SCRUM or equivalent Agile development methodologies
• A good understanding of usability and accessibility, including coding to WAI standards

• Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web applications.

• Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby code.
• Integrating data storage solutions.
• Creating back-end components.
• Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
• Integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.
• Connecting applications with additional web servers.

Ruby on Rails Developer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• Must have more than 6 months+ in depth experience in Ruby on Rails
• Experience working with ruby on rails as well as libraries like Resque and RSpec.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming
• Ability to write clean ruby code.
• Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github, SVN, and Mercurial.
• Understanding of web services technologies such as REST is required.
• Good experience and understanding of continuous integration and deployment process.
• Knowledge in working with AWS or other cloud platform
• Experience in working with limited direction while exceeding delivery expectations.
• Experience with AngularJS or ReactJS.
• Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
• Knowledge of server-side templating languages including Slim and Liquid.
• Familiarity with testing tools.

Roles & Responsibilities -

● Develop new user-facing features.

● Work alongside product to understand our requirements, and design, develop and iterate, think through the complex architecture.

● Writing clean, reusable, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code.

● Encourage innovation and efficiency improvements to ensure processes are productive

● Ensure the training and mentoring of the team members

● Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed.

Requirements -

• Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or a related field

• 5 - 10 years of prior relevant experience

• Experience with web technologies and microservices architecture

• Exceptional design and architectural skills

• Experience of cloud providers/platforms like GCP and AWS

Roles and Responsibilities

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Own the design of the overall architecture of the web application
• Implement a robust set of services and effective APIs to power the web application
• Build reusable and manageable code and libraries for future use
• Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Translate UI/UX wireframes to visual elements
• Develop and handle well-functioning databases and applications
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency 
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software

Experience:

• Proven expertise in shipping features in Ruby on Rails. Strong background in Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Strong experience in driving thought leadership and technical architecture
• Experience with mentoring juniors in the team
