Job Title: Application Development Engineer (Python – Backtesting & Index Platforms)

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Engine Development: Design and implement modular, reusable Python components for index construction, rebalancing, and backtesting.

Large-Scale Simulation: Use Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark to run historical calculations across long time horizons and multiple index variants.

Workflow Integration: Integrate engines with orchestrators such as Airflow or Temporal using parameterized, config-driven execution.

Reference Data Consumption: Query and utilize pricing, security master, and corporate action data from Snowflake.

Quality & Reconciliation: Build automated test harnesses to validate outputs, compare against benchmarks, and guarantee reproducibility.

Performance Optimization: Improve runtime efficiency through vectorization, caching, and distributed computing patterns.

Job Description:

Magento Developers with 3+ years of experience

1) Should have hands-on experience in Magento module/extension development

2) Should be able to quickly understand existing custom modules in Magento and customize and manage it further.

3) Hands-on experience in developing and consuming API/REST calls both inbound and outbound within Magento

4) Should know how to develop WebService/API/REST calls as per Magento architecture, coding standard

5) Troubleshooting integration issues from API/REST calls.

6) Excellent knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.

7) Good working experience on MySQL, developing complex SQL queries, design tables/database for complex business models

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications.

• BE/B.Tech Degree from a reputed institution with at least 7 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with Core Java, J2EE with a good knowledge of its ecosystem
• Experience with JUnit, JMH like performance tuning test tools preferred
• REST API design and development experience. Usage of Swagger or other API spec tools would be preferred. Working knowledge on Spring Boot is a plus
• Hands-on experience with some of the following application components is a plus: Solr, Kafka, OpenTSDB, Elasticsearch, Janus graph or any graph DB.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL required.
