Experience and Required Skill Sets: 

1      Solid experience in software design and development using Microsoft ASP.NET framework, C#, Visual Studio, and in writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code

2      5+ years of experience in WCF, WPF, VB.NET, SQL Server, JQuery, Angular 10 and above.

3      5+ years of experience in developing highly scalable REST/Web APIs

4      5+ years of experience in developing highly efficient SQL/NoSQL Queries

5      5+ years of experience in Relational and Document databases

6      Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and possess strong fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.

7      Experience in using the MVC framework, working knowledge in APIs, and Service Oriented Architecture

9      Experience in Angular version 10 and above is required

About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable Team Lead / PHP Architect to drive end-to-end software architecture, technical strategy, and project execution. In this role, you will act as the technical anchor for our development team, ensuring robust system design and high-quality code delivery. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate complex functional requirements into scalable technical solutions while actively mentoring engineers and unblocking technical bottlenecks.

Core Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design: Conceptualise, design, and implement scalable, enterprise-grade architectures for complex PHP applications, ensuring high performance, security, and future readiness.
• Engineering Leadership & Delivery: Manage day-to-day development operations, oversee task allocation, define delivery milestones, and ensure features are shipped on time without compromising quality.
• Quality Assurance & Code Standards: Institutionalise engineering best practices. Conduct rigorous peer code reviews, optimise application performance, and systematically reduce technical debt.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary technical liaison for key business stakeholders and clients, effectively communicating technical roadmaps and project statuses to non-technical audiences.
• Mentorship & Team Development: Cultivate a culture of technical excellence. Mentor junior and mid-level developers, resolve complex technical roadblocks, and elevate the team’s overall engineering capabilities.

Qualifications & Technical Profile

• Experience: 8–10 years of progressive software engineering experience, with a proven track record in application architecture and team leadership.
• Core Technical Skills: Deep expertise in modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) and advanced proficiency in database modelling (SQL/NoSQL).
• System Design: Strong understanding of modular design, microservices architectures, RESTful API design, and third-party integrations.
• Leadership Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage sprints, and drive engineering deliverables to successful, on-time completion.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to lead client-facing meetings and stakeholder presentations.
• Availability: Must be available to join immediately and work full-time from our Andheri, Mumbai office.

We need one person who owns all of that. Not someone who builds sites and hands them off. Someone who builds them right, deploys them cleanly, and stays accountable for what happens after go-live.

What You'll Own

Development (60%):

• Build pixel-perfect, responsive websites from Figma designs — no approximations, no 'close enough'
• Develop custom WordPress themes and templates from scratch — not just Elementor configurations
• Build and maintain landing pages, microsites, and campaign pages at speed — one page per day is the baseline, not the ceiling
• Integrate third-party APIs: CRMs, marketing automation tools, analytics platforms, form handlers
• Work in Webflow when clients require it — you don't need to be an expert but you can't be a beginner
• Write clean, commented code that another developer can pick up without a 45-minute handover call

Web Ops & Maintenance (40%):

• Own L1 and L2 incident response: site down, pages not loading, SSL errors, plugin conflicts, DB connection failures, frontend breaking due to plugin conflicts, SEO hack attacks, PHP mismatch, builder conflicts — you have a diagnostic process and you run it
• Manage server-side configuration: hosting environments, caching layers (Redis, Varnish, WP Super Cache), CDN setup, PHP and MySQL tuning
• Own website performance: Core Web Vitals, GTmetrix/PageSpeedInsight scores, image optimisation (WebP, lazy loading, compression), and caching strategy
• Manage WordPress multisite setups where required for multi-lingual or multi-geography sites
• Run and verify staging-to-production deployments — you don't push untested code to live
• Keep plugins, themes, and core updated without breaking things — you test before you update
• Own DNS management and domain configurations when clients need changes
• Set up and maintain uptime monitoring — you know when a site goes down before the client does

Technical Requirements

Must-Have

• WordPress: custom theme dev from Figma, hooks/filters, child themes
• Page builders: Elementor and/or Divi — know when to use them and when not to
• PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript — not a full-stack dev but comfortable in all four
• Basic React/JS — enough to build interactive components and integrate headless setups
• Server management: cPanel/Plesk/WHM, SSH, FTP, DNS configuration, shared and VPS servers, 1Panel, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, Hostinger
• Performance optimisation: Core Web Vitals, image formats, caching, CDN
• Multisite WordPress setup and management
• API integrations: REST APIs, webhooks, third-party plugin development
• Git-based version control and staging/production workflows
• SSL certificate installation and renewal
