Web developer responsibilities include building our website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function.

- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices

Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site

- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

- Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent

Role: Sr.Drupal Developer

Location: Permanent WFH/Remote

Responsibilities

• Perform Drupal development tasks including custom module development using the Drupal API system and hooks from major Drupal core systems
• Understand the client's business requirements and develop a scalable software solution.
• Attend client calls, provide demonstrations to the client.
• Maintain appropriate documentation with the code, following the best practices.
• Undertake quality assurance and testing for functionalities developed.
• Should be familiar with Drupal coding standards and best practices.
• Should have good hands-on experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Should have a fair understanding of building Drupal themes and working with templates.
• Should be well-versed with GIT processes

Requirements, Skills

•        2+ years developing Drupal applications. Drupal 7/8/9 experience required.

• 1+ year of Experience in building applications in Drupal8.
• 2+ years industry experience in software development and/or DevOps projects. 
• Must have strong analytical and technical skills using PHP.
• Expertise in JavaScript and mainstream JavaScript libraries such as JQuery and working knowledge of Ajax.
• Good understanding of web technologies, debugging and protocols.
• Contribution to the open-source community
• Must have PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML and CSS experience
• Should be able to code as per Drupal coding standards  and best practices.
• Should be well versed with implementation and configuration of most commonly used modules
• Respond positively to opportunities to be involved in brainstorming and iterative work. Handle times of change in a way that drives innovation and iteration.
• Experience on Drupal 9 (Good to have)

What will I be doing? 👩‍💻👨‍💻

Leading parts of the product from inception to launch, and own large parts of the product’s execution.
Working with our Sales and frontend team to build products with the goal of delighting and increasing the success of our users.
Architecting, building, testing, and releasing product-facing features.
Contributing to our side projects and free tools for the education industry.

What do I need? 🤓

1-2 years of industry experience in a software engineering role, preferably building a SaaS product. You can demonstrate significant impact that your work has had on the product and/or the team.
Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (for example, PHP, Python, etc.) but it doesn’t need to be a language that we use here! Great people are effective and learn what we use quickly (or introduce us to better ways of working)
Deep knowledge of SQL Databases
Experience with scalable distributed systems, both built from scratch as well as on AWS primitives
Willingness to learn and use new technologies
Extremely data-driven
Ability to debug complex systems

Brownie points 🍰

Using a framework (for example, Laravel, Code Igniter, Django)
Understanding of containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) along with ability to deploy to AWS ECS (or similar tools)
