🎬Job Description:

We are looking for an Engineering Leader with a focus on building maintainable and scalable applications. The Lead will be responsible for the design and development of Jodo’s fee payments platform and be owning one of the products/verticals. Leads will be closely working

with Product Managers and Founders to execute projects from ideation to completion. As a hands-on Team Lead, you will take ownership of services/systems and guide a team of

developers.

📈Key Responsibilities

● Own and drive the development of one or more of Jodo’s products

● Take the lead in the design and development of the backend platform

● Mentor a team of developers, promote collaboration and engagement, and promote practices that improve the developer experience

● Work closely with Product Managers and Founders to brainstorm requirements and prioritize

● Own quality - actively participate in code reviews

● Own reliability - continuously monitor Production Health, proactively fix production issues

● Own execution - Plan and delegate work for the team, optimize for speed of development and incremental delivery

📃Requirements

● 6+ years of hands-on experience in application development

● 1+ years of leading a team

● Experience in working with distributed systems

● Proficient in building Microservices/RESTful APIs with any modern tech stack

● Working knowledge of relational and nonrelational databases

● Prior working knowledge of Python/Django is a big plus

● Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools

● Knowledge of AWS or any other Cloud Platform services

● Champion code quality and drive best practices

● Ability to analyze and convert business requirements into technical requirements

● Self-starter and ability to take the ownership

● Prior experience working in a startup environment is great to have

Role Overview

Responsibilities 

- Design and build highly reliable and performant applications that deliver a great user experience. 

- Own large technical deliverables and execute in a structured manner. - Take accountability for the overall health of the applications you build. - Platform components as libraries, utilities and promote reuse. 

- Be able to conceptualize and develop prototypes quickly 

Skills & Requirements 

▪ Work Experience between 1-3 years in large scale applications with the desire to work in fast-paced startups 

▪ Experience/Knowledge of Node.JS, Express.JS, AWS, MongoDB. 

Requirements:

• Should be a go-getter, ready to shoulder more responsibilities, shows enthusiasm and interest in work.
• Excellent core Python skills including threading, dictionary, OOPS Concept, Data structure, Web service.
• Should have work experience on following stacks/libraries: Flask
• Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as Angular, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

Experience in both RDBMS(MySQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, HDFS, HIVE etc) or in-memory caching technologies such as ehcache etc is preferable

Job Description:

• Strong Experience of Node JS.

• Strong Experience of Reactjs development

• Experience in Server-side application architectures like Express.js, Meteor.Js, etc. is desirable.

• Experience in developing APIs is highly desirable.

• Experience in Mongo or MySQL database is a must.

• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.

• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.

• Experience in delivering products using an Agile methodology is highly desirable.

• Experience with automated unit, integration and end-to-end testing is highly desirable.

• Experience in the area of network or systems management is a plus.
