Job Description: Magento Developer

We are looking to hire a skilled Magento Developer to build and maintain eCommerce websites for our clients. As a Magento Developer, you will be responsible for liaising with the design team, setting up Magento 1x and 2x sites, building modules and customizing extensions, testing the performance of each site, and maintaining security and feature updates after the installation is complete.

To ensure success as a Magento Developer, you should have excellent object-orientated programming knowledge, hold certifications for Java and Magento development, and be able to project manage. Ultimately, a high-level Magento Developer can build and maintain a user-friendly eCommerce platform that perfectly meets the needs of the client.

Magento Developer Responsibilities:

• Meeting with the design team to discuss the needs of the company.
• Building and configuring Magento 1x and 2x eCommerce websites.
• Coding of the Magento templates.
• Developing Magento modules in PHP using best practices.
• Designing themes and interfaces.
• Setting performance tasks and goals.
• Troubleshooting integration issues.
• Updating website features and security patches.

Magento Developer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Magento, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, CSS, and MySQL.
• Experience with complete eCommerce lifecycle development.
• Understanding of modern UI/UX trends.
• Knowledge of Google Tag Manager, SEO, Google Analytics, PPC, and A/B Testing.
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to project-manage and work to strict deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1.Build high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.
2. Strong knowledge in Nodejs, Javascript & Typescript

3.Develop and maintain all server-side components.

4.Develop high-performance and scalable APIs to serve clients.

5.Collaborate with front-end developers on the integration of well written APIs.

6.Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.

7.Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, provide fixes and workarounds, and review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.

8.Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications

9.Run diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and provide technical support.

10.Be our NodeJS champion by keeping an eye out for emerging technologies and recommending improvements.

11. You will work within a team, collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, and work with cross functional teams to achieve goals.

12. Design back end services for various business processes

13. You will assume technical accountability for your specific work products within an application and provide technical support during solution design for new requirements.

14. Design server side architecture

• 3 years Experience in Ruby on Rails
• Minimum 3 years in MongoDB / PostgreSQL
• Must be from Product based companies   

• B Tech/BE or M.Tech/ME in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.
• Experience level of 7+ years in building large scale applications.
• Strong problem solving skills, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with distributed systems handling large amount of data.
• Excellent coding skills in Java / Python / Node / Go.
• Very good understanding of Web Technologies.
• Very good understanding of any RDBMS and/or messaging.

1. Interfacing with the customer, tech team members, project managers and other relevant product people for a thorough understanding of the product, use case and business objective, detailed specification and data flow for the requirement, demonstration of the solution and clarification of queries at appropriate times during the life-cycle of the product
2. Preparing test cases, setting up CI/CD and integration with logging and monitoring systems for the products or platforms by the end of 6 months
3. Seeking customer feedback to continuously optimize the product for great customer experience and high technical performance in areas such as hardware efficiency, latency and throughput
4. Delivering a robust backend platform for the products and platforms by incorporating important considerations regarding minimal downtime, high availability, data redundancy, tight security, etc. into the design

If you are a PHP developer & have a good understanding of web technologies you may apply for this positoin. As a Developer, you will be a part of our web development team and will be working with some very experienced developers on challenging and interesting projects. You will be a part of an Agile delivery team and work closely with Requirement Analysts, Scrum Masters, Development & Design team and QA team.

Technical Skills

1. PHP - 4.5 Years Experience along with HTML5, CSS Bootstrap, JQuery, JS, MySQL/MongoDB, JSON Web Services and API Services
2. PHP Frameworks: Min. 2 Years with anyone (Laravel, Symfony, CakePHP, Yii etc.)
3. PHP Reporting Tools (Jasper etc.)
4. NET Exposure - Good to have
5. Understanding of responsive design frameworks such as bootstrap
6. MEAN Stack - Good to have
7. Angular / React - Good to have
