Node Js Developer

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience with Python, and working knowledge

of TypeScript.

• Solid understanding of Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask) and TypeScript-based

backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, NestJS, Express)

• Hands-on experience using Temporal to design and orchestrate workflows.

• Proven expertise in data extraction, normalization, and deduplication.

• Strong experience implementing proxy solutions and navigating bot-detection mechanisms (e.g.,

Cloudflare).

• Experience with Docker, containerized deployments, and cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.

• Proficiency with database technologies including MongoDB and Elasticsearch.

• Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining scalable, high-performance APIs.

• Working knowledge of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, and end-to-end).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and comfort working in agile, fast-paced

environments.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or loosely

defined problem spaces.

As part of our ambitious product roadmap, we need senior developers with experience in NodeJS.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop UI components, processes, documentation, and an organisation-wide style guide that can be reused across all applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, Express, and related technologies
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features and functionality
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure a smooth user experience
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends
• Work with other developers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 3-5 years of experience in web application development using Node.js
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including experience with popular libraries and frameworks such as Express.js, Nest.js, and Mongoose
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of web protocols and technologies such as HTTP, REST, and WebSockets
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and SQL databases like MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL
• Experience with Git and version control
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Adaptability to rapid change

Good to have:

• Experience with GraphQL and Apollo
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with cloud-based development tools such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions
• Familiarity with load balancing, caching, and performance optimisation techniques
• Experience working with remote teams and communicating effectively with remote stakeholders.

• Candidate should have strong work experience in JavaScript(ES6+)
• Hands on application development using Node JS, Express JS, MongoDB and Mongoose
• Good understanding of Web Technology, RESTful APIs, JSON structures
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Exposure in AWS Services will be an added advantage

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, code, test and document software according to the functional requirements.
• Analyze, diagnose and resolve errors related to applications.
• Provide application and user support.

You have 5 years or more of Backend end development experience with expertise in designing and implementing high-performance applications.

Worked with and built high-performance products using Node Js/GoLang/ Python and have seen the product evolution cycle from PoC to Production

You have a deep understanding of design principles and can rightly judge/implement solutions to complex problems

You are capable of writing high-quality code that conforms to the standards and best practices in a particular language/framework.

You have experience building a product using a mainstream library or framework.

You love to own end to end responsibility, starting from defining the problem statement (either yourself or alongside your peers), development (PoC if needed), testing, releasing in staging & then production environment, and finally monitoring.

Previous work experience in product-based startups

Experience building for products that have scaled and have seen the product evolution

• • You’re proficient in NodeJS, TypeScript, MySQL, and MongoDB
  • You possess strong OOP and design pattern knowledge
  • Familiar with modern engineering practices: Code Reviews, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, etc
  • You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability and experienced with TDD (Test Driven Development)
  • You’ve the ability to build RESTful APIs
  • Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support team, and fellow engineers is not a problem for you
  • Well versed with the fundamentals of computer science and distributed systems
  • FrontEnd experience; (Good to have) Angular
  • Startup experience, preferably a tech startup
  • Open Source contributor
  • You have experience with other programming languages -- e.g. Python, Ruby, PHP, Go, C, etc.
  • Passionate about/experienced with open source and developer tools
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
