Mobile Developer (iOS & Android) – 1–3 Years Experience

About the Role

We are building a new-age consumer commerce platform focused on parents in India. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Mobile Developer who is passionate about creating exceptional mobile experiences and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

As an early member of the engineering team, you will work directly with the CEO and have the opportunity to build and scale our customer-facing mobile applications while also developing internal tools that power our operations. This role offers high ownership, autonomy, and the chance to shape the future of our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Develop customer-facing features with a strong focus on performance, usability, and reliability.
• Design and build internal operations tools and workflows that support business teams.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams to turn ideas into products.
• Own the complete development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and user experience.
• Integrate APIs and third-party services.
• Continuously improve code quality, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Rapidly iterate based on customer feedback and business needs.

Required Skills

• 1–3 years of experience building mobile applications.
• Strong proficiency in either:
• React Native (preferred), or
• Native iOS (Swift), and/or
• Native Android (Kotlin/Java), or
• Flutter.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating backend services.
• Understanding of mobile architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Experience working in D2C, e-commerce, consumer internet, or marketplace companies.
• Experience building customer-facing mobile products at scale.
• Exposure to backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Firebase.
• Experience building internal tools or operational workflows.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Firebase services.
• Startup experience or experience working in small, high-ownership teams.
• Experience with analytics, notifications, and mobile performance monitoring.

Responsibilities include:

1. Designing, developing & deploying the product

2. Work as part of a team to build React Native iOS / Android applications

3. Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code

4. Translating wireframes and PSD designs into functional responsive apps, Implement pixel perfect UI's that match designs

5. Binding UI elements to JavaScript object models, work with native modules when required

6. Creating RESTful services with Node.js

7. Developing scalable web architectures

8. Working in a cross-functional team to deliver a complete user experience

9. Creating unit and integration tests to ensure the quality of code

10. Being responsive to change requests and feature requests

11. Writing code that is cross-platform and cross-device compatible

12. Co-ordinating end-to-end implementation

13. Release applications to iOS and Google Play stores

Who are we looking for?

1. Someone who is annoyed by the build time it takes for an application to

build and has actually done something to optimise it

1. Has good experience in building Android applications
2. Experience with the flutter ecosystem is a great plus.
3. Who likes to think in terms of software and data architecture before

opening Android studio.

Roles and responsibilities

1. Participate and contribute in design and development of the core

components of the Filo service.

1. Ensure high quality of software development w.r.t to project

architecture, code quality, testing and deployment.

1. Implement testing frameworks and disciplines as part of every feature

development.

1. Own performance of app in production and implement/push for

implementation of systems to monitor, debug and fix an issue in

production in lowestTATpossible.

1. Advocate good engineering has the highest priority with the only exception

of value delivered to the end user.

• 5+ years’ experience in Hybrid Mobile App development
• Expert in React Native & NodeJs development

• Willing to work from office in Bangalore (HSR Layout)

• Part of the core team responsible for powering the various apps and moving parts of the product
• Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code.
• Integrate third-party API's.
• Release applications to the Apple and Google Play stores.
• Design new and re-design existing user-facing features
• Design, build and own key technology decisions and implementations
• Wear multiple hats - that of an architect, developer or product owner

Required Skills :

• 4 - 6  years of overall software development experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in Native React
• Highly proficient in rendering components with Native APIs

• You developed and published at least one React Native app on Google and Apple Store.

• You wish Typescript was the default language of the web.
• You stepped outside the Expo world and have experience with native iOS or Android development. You are familiar with XCode and Android studio, and leverage native APIs for deep integration with Android and iOS.
• You have experience with state management libraries like MobX and Redux.
• You write automated tests and perform end-to-end testing with Detox or Appium.
• You are familiar with functional programming concepts and apply it occasionally.
• You worked with other hybrid mobile platforms like Sencha, HTML5, PhoneGap, etc.
• You have experience with Scrum and Lean methodology
