Sr. Flutter (Mobility) Developer

Location: Nashik / Pune (Baner)

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on Flutter experience in production environments
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade mobile applications deployed to app stores
• Strong experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Hands-on experience participating in technical design discussions
• Exposure to guiding or mentoring junior developers is preferred
• Demonstrable AI-augmented engineering practice — daily use of AI coding assistants

Required Skill Set

• Strong expertise in Flutter and Dart, with experience building scalable mobile applications
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVC / MVP / MVVM, Clean Architecture basics)
• Experience with state management solutions (BLoC, Riverpod, Provider, etc.)
• Proficiency in building modular Flutter applications and reusable UI components
• Good understanding of Android and iOS fundamentals, lifecycles, and platform limitations
• Knowledge of and ability to leverage iOS and Android platform capabilities, including native features (rich push notifications, app shortcuts, deep OS integration), background tasks, automation, and device-level integrations (sensors, geofencing, NFC, Bluetooth)
• Experience with REST / GraphQL API integration and network handling
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and basic mobile security concepts
• Experience in performance optimization, memory management, and efficient rendering
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (unit, widget, integration), and build processes

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Flutter mobile applications
• Translate functional and technical requirements into clean, maintainable code
• Collaborate closely with mobile architects to align with platform standards and best practices
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring quality and consistency — including reviewing AI-generated contributions with the same rigor as human-written code
• Contribute to technical design and solution discussions, including how AI can be applied to product features and to the development workflow itself
• Identify and resolve performance, stability, and usability issues
• Write unit, widget, and integration tests to ensure application quality
• Support release activities, bug fixes, and production issues
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices, including responsible and effective use of AI tooling

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled React Native Mobile Developer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sense and proven expertise in developing scalable, high-performance mobile applications—especially in the enterprise domain (e.g., sales team apps, sales CRM, purchase modules, and similar solutions). You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to translate requirements into compelling features and ensure seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design & Development: Build and maintain robust, efficient, and scalable mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android platforms.

· Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA, etc.) to identify user needs and incorporate feedback effectively.

· Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Follow best coding practices and maintain compliance with organizational guidelines.

· Performance Optimization: Optimize app performance for speed and responsiveness; troubleshoot and debug to maintain smooth user experiences.

· Integration: Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and other third-party services into mobile applications.

· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in mobile development, ensuring the continuous improvement of apps.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a React Native Developer with a strong portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.

• Knowledge of mobile app development life cycle, and experience with performance and memory tuning tools.

• Strong understanding of handling various mobile device capabilities such as GPS, battery optimization, and data connectivity toggles (e.g., airplane mode).

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

Financial Package:

• Rs. 10-20 Lakhs per annum, contingent on work experience.

Industry

Required:

1. A minimum of 1 years of consulting and/or relevant industry experience
2. Understanding of Android Framework and Android app development.
3. Experience in developing android apps using Kotlin and latest frameworks
4. Knowledge and understanding of Design-Patterns and Data Structures.
5. Ability to develop Android applications using latest Frameworks like Retrofit, RxJava
6. Ability to write Unit test cases using the frameworks.
7. Knowledge about how to consume the REST API's
8. Understanding of Git/BitBucket or any version control system
9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
10. B.E/B.Tech/MCA/MSC/MS

Preferred:

1. Understanding and usage of latest android frameworks like JetPack, Android Architectural components
2. Experience in mentoring the new team members and also the junior folks.
3. Exposure to various mobile architectures (ex: MVC, MVP, MVVM, etc..)
4. Experience in handling the Android app deployment process.
5. Experience in working in Agile methodology

• Experience range should be 2 to 6 years with 2 years of strong Flutter Development Experience.
• This is going to be and Individual Contributor role hence candidate should be able to single-handedly perform tasks, manage role/project and seek direction by him/herself.
• Strong Coding and Development exposure in Flutter.
• Azure Exposure is mandatory.
• GitHub Link is mandatory.

• Experience range should be 7 to 9 years; currently leading a team for multiple projects.
• Minimum 2 years of strong Flutter Coding & Development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Team-management experience.
• Alongside development exposure in Flutter, candidate should have good exposure in Testing and on Backend support.
• Azure Exposure is mandatory.

Job Description:

As fullstack developer at Empala you will be building and shaping our product. Our current offerings are centered around a React Native app (iOS & Android) with a serverless backend.

Empala is a flat and young organization, meaning every hand has a lasting impact on our product and our culture. You will report directly to the CTO and will in general be working closely with the founders. The job is of course mostly focused on building and maintaining our products, but in a small team you will have to wear a lot of hats, you could get involved in sales, marketing or anything in between, ideally you will see this as a positive thing and a chance to learn more about our users/customers/new areas of work.
