We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer who will be pivotal in architecting and developing scalable, reliable backend systems from scratch. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build new products, design backend architectures, and ensure high performance and responsiveness of the systems. This role requires strong backend fundamentals, cloud experience, a deep understanding of databases, and a passion for system design and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

● Product Development: Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy new backend products and features from scratch.

● System Design: Take ownership of system design and architecture decisions for new modules, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. ● API Development: Build efficient and reusable APIs and backend services using Node.js.

● Database Management: Design data models, optimize queries, and manage MongoDB clusters efficiently.

● Cloud Management: Deploy, maintain, and optimize services on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.

● Best Practices: Maintain coding standards, ensure code reviews, and champion best practices in security, testing, and maintainability.

● Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, QA, and other cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

● Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and ensure system uptime and responsiveness.

● Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers as required.

● Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of systems, processes, and best practices. Must-Have

Qualifications:

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

● Experience: 4–5+ years of hands-on backend development experience.

● Expertise in: Node.js (Express.js, Nest.js or similar frameworks) MongoDB (including indexing, replication, sharding concepts) AWS Services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.) Proficient in: System design principles Microservices architecture Event-driven architecture Strong understanding of: RESTful APIs.Authentication and authorization best practices (OAuth, JWT) Experience with: CI/CD pipelines Docker and containerization principles Hands-on experience in: Building scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems Good knowledge of : Logging, monitoring, and debugging distributed applications

• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code. 
• Providing technical oversight to the team, involved in design and code review.
• You would also be spending most of the time in development activities in varied technologies and should have a passion to write code.
• Should be able to create good technical documents.
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems - Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. 
• Prepare the technical design of complex technology components as well as suggest the pros and cons of using a certain technology stack or component or design pattern versus another, to the clients.

• Qualifications: BTECH/MTECH/MCA/MSc.
• Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems with a knack for writing clean, readable Java code, writing reusable Java libraries along with knowledge of multithreading, concurrency patterns, and collections in Java. 
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming along with various design and architectural patterns.
• Hands on experience with JMS, JPA, Spring (MVC, Boot & Cloud preferred) & Hibernate.
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful.  Experience with Presentation Layer (JSP/Servlets), JS Frameworks (Angular, jQuery, react, etc.).
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes and experience with both external and embedded databases. Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Ant, Maven, and Gradle; continuous integration.
• Knowledge in xml based mappings, SAML, rest clients, CAS authentication and Jetty.
• Knowledge of Apache Camel and Kafka and Drools Rule Engine is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• We need strong SQL database development skills using the MS SQL server.
• Strong skill in SQL server integration services (SSIS) for ETL development.
• Strong Experience in full life cycle database development project using SQL server.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex logical and physical data models.
• Exposure to web services & web technologies (Javascript, Jquery, CSS, HTML).
• Knowledge of other high-level languages (PERL, Python) will be an added advantage
• Nice to have SQL certification.

Good to have:

• Understand the fundamentals of Software Engineering, such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Design Patterns
• Ability to write Java applications using Spring, Springboot or any other microservices frameworks
• Experience in the development of REST applications, in Java or Kotlin
• Capable of writing effective APIs
• Solid knowledge of JVM fundamentals such as classloading, memory management, garbage collection
• Demonstrated experience in platform API design and development
• Knowledge on microservice and event-driven architecture
• Experience in working with version control frameworks such as Git (preferable), SVN
•      Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB or Cassandra) & Relational Databases
• Solid understanding of TDD & Agile principles such as CI / CD, with a proven track record of implementing solutions centred around those concepts
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills

• Knowledge of Node.js and loopback 4 frameworks
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as React
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Responsibilities:

• Develop back-end server that includes business logic linked to various data storage solutions including database.
• Design back-end server system by using technology appropriate for server environment.
• Develop and maintain Rest services for Samsung Pay Develop RESTful services that are highly scalable, available, maintainable.
