•Manage end-to-end merchandising for handknit garment and wool export products — from
sampling through final shipment.
•Oversee and coordinate designers and artisans, ensuring design intent is accurately
translated into production.
•Serve as the key point of contact between buyers, design teams, artisans, and vendors.
•Lead product development cycles: sampling, costing, correction rounds, and buyer
approvals.
•Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with vendors and suppliers.
•Track production timelines, manage bottlenecks, and maintain quality standards throughout.
•Maintain merchandising reports, costing sheets, and sample/order trackers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Management, or a related field.
•0–6 years of experience in garment, textile, wool, or export merchandising.
•Prior experience at a design house or design-led production environment is essential.
•Strong working knowledge of garment and textile construction — sufficient to manage and
evaluate designer output.
•Hands-on experience with handknit or artisan garment production processes.
•Experience in buyer handling, vendor coordination, and artisan management.
•Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
•Proficiency in Excel and standard merchandising tools.
Good to Have
•Exposure to wool, specialty fibres, or craft-based product lines.
•Knowledge of trade processes.
