Job Description – Flutter Developer (3–8Years)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Flutter Developer (3–10 years) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-quality, scalable mobile applications using Flutter for both Android and iOS. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end mobile solutions, lead junior developers, and contribute to architectural and process improvements.

What You Will Be Doing

✔ Develop high-quality, scalable mobile applications using Flutter & Dart

✔ Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into fully functional apps

✔ Write clean, testable, and maintainable code

✔ Work closely with designers, PMs, QAs, and other developers

✔ Implement new features, fix bugs, and optimize app performance

✔ Handle app flows involving offline storage, threading, localization, etc.

✔ Integrate third-party services: REST APIs, Firebase, Location, Notifications, Video recording, Payment gateways

✔ Participate in project estimation, architecture discussions, and release planning

✔ Contribute to the full mobile development lifecycle—from concept to deployment

✔ Prepare documentation for architecture, reusable components, and processes

✔ Lead and mentor junior Flutter developers

✔ Stay updated with latest Flutter, mobile development, and Web technologies

✔ Contribute to Flutter Web modules when required

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

Must Have

• 3–10 years total experience, with 2+ years in Flutter & Dart
• Strong understanding of mobile app development (Android & iOS)
• Ability to design & build apps from scratch
• Experience with:
• Firebase services (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Messaging)
• Location services
• Push notifications
• Video recording modules
• REST API integration
• 3rd-party SDK integrations
• Expertise in:
• Building UI-rich, high-performance mobile apps
• Offline storage, performance tuning, and low battery usage optimization
• Experience using Git/GitHub
• Published at least 1+ app on PlayStore or App Store
• Understanding of Flutter Web
• Basic knowledge of payment gateway integration
• Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus
• Experience with native Android/iOS development is a big advantage

• Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
• Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
• Transition existing React web apps to React Native

• 6+ years of experience in Software Development and writing Unit tests for Mobile Apps
• Excellent designing, debugging and programming skills in an Object oriented programming language like C#, Java, javascript, Swift, Dart etc.
• Experience with Native Mobile development (Android or IOS) and Cross-Platform mobile development (preferably Flutter)
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles
• Strong knowledge of writing code for testability, modularity and extensibility
• Knowledge of test methodologies and corresponding unit test framework tools like JUnit etc.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  
  

• Experience working with BloC Pattern and Dependency Injection
• Knowledge of Eventing based programming patterns. 
• Exposure to integrating Performance, Analytics, Attribution tools
• Experience of using Flavors in application development
• Knowledge of Multi-module development in Flutter (ex- via Melos)

• Work with the product team and drive design, development and delivery of new features.
• Investigate and fix issues referred to by the support team. Write code to automate tests to automate regressions.
• Work on improving stability, debuggability, testability of existing functionalities/modules/components
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and consume in app.
• Serve as a technical lead for the team
• Mentor team members

Job Responsibilities

• Design, Architect, Develop and maintain existing and new iOS applications.
• Collaborate with a team of users and developers to define, design and deploy new features and functionality.
• Complete Analysis, design, development, modification & implementation of computer applications throughout the entire software development life cycle.
• To ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the App.

Required Skills

• 2-5 years of experience of iOS development experience with Objective-C or Swift.
• Mastery of Objective-C, Cocoa & the iPhone SDK.
• Experience and Knowledge of mobile platform architecture limitations with the Expertise to overcome those technical challenges.
• Experience utilizing networking protocols in Mobile Application Development.
• Experience in SVN / GIT code repositories.
• Experience on Web Service Integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)

Desired Skills

• 2-5 years of experience into iOS Development.
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and lead other talented developers and designers.
• Good communication skills.
