Job Summary

iCloudEMS is looking for a highly skilled PHP Backend Developer with strong experience in web application development and hands-on expertise in React Native for mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems, integrating APIs, and collaborating closely with frontend and mobile teams to deliver high-quality education management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based backend web applications
• Build and manage RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications
• Integrate backend services with React Native mobile applications
• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability
• Work with databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for data modeling and query optimization
• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, frontend developers, and QA teams
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
• Follow coding standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Core PHP / Laravel / CodeIgniter
• Solid understanding of backend architecture and MVC frameworks
• Hands-on experience in React Native (Android & iOS)
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party API integrations
• Proficiency in MySQL and complex SQL queries
• Knowledge of server-side security (JWT, OAuth, data protection)
• Familiarity with Git / GitHub / Bitbucket
• Experience with payment gateways, notifications, and background jobs
• Understanding of web hosting, deployment, and server management (Linux)

Good to Have

• Experience in education domain / ERP / CRM/LMS/HRMS/Inventory/ EMS platforms
• Knowledge of Node.js or other backend technologies
• Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles

Are You Up To The Challenge?

As a Software Engineer - Frontend you’ll be part of the Frontend team, implementing beautiful web designs made by our designers to keep both our site and the internal web-based tools we use fresh and up to date on top of working on new projects alongside this, there is always something new and interesting to work on. 

Your Team Mates

The frontend team consists of both our frontend developers and designers, we work closely with all parts of the business to create tools that vary across the whole company, from the publishing team to create a portal for people to submit games, the marketing team on things like our website, all the way to our internal teams for things like administration and analytics.

What Does The Job Actually Involve?

• Implementing designs for our website/web tools created by our design team

• Create and update interactive interfaces used throughout the company

Your Hard Skills

• Minimum 2 years browser-based programming experience

• A proven track record of programming high quality and innovative web pages using Javascript, HTML5 & CSS3 and relevant frameworks (ideally ReactJS but could also be others e.g. AngularJS, NodeJS, Handlebars, jquery, gulp)

• An excellent working knowledge of various programming languages, databases and scripting tools including at least one of bash, MySQL, CouchBase, Python, Java, C#, JSP, PHP

• A creative mindset motivated by challenges and constantly striving for the best

• Interest in mobile games

Responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. Writes literature and materials to be used in programs and designs exercises to enhance learning experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical training to professional personnel.
• Develop innovative and easy-to-understand training materials.logistics and tools.
• Meet organizational training needs.
• Organize instructor-led training programs.
• Prepare training schedules and programs for personnel.

Requirements
