MERN STACK DEVELOPER

We are seeking a Full-stack Developer to help build the next generation of StepOut's web and mobile platforms. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize applications that deliver performance insights to athletes and coaches worldwide. You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where ownership, agility, and creativity are keys.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable frontend applications using React (JS and native preferred).
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python (Django/Flask preferred).
• Design and manage databases (MongoDB + MySQL).
• Own features end-to-end from planning to deployment.
• Write clean, modular, and production-grade code.
• Debug issues deeply and implement long-term fixes (not patches).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, analytics).
• Contribute to system design, scalability, and performance improvements as a team player.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with React (React JS + React Native preferred).
• Strong experience with Python (Django/Flask preferred).
• Working knowledge of MongoDB and MySQL.
• Ability to build and consume REST APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging ability.
• Genuine interest in football/sports (critical for culture fit).

Bonus Skills (Good to Have):

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Prior exposure to sports-tech, analytics, or performance platforms.

Job Requirements

• Experience in ReactJS and its main fundamentals like JSX, Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, etc.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, object model, DOM manipulation and event handlers, data structures, algorithms, JSX, and Babel.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, ES6.
• Knowledge of Unit testing frameworks..

Required Skills:

• Good Experience with Node.js backend development platforms & MongoDB
• Good Experience with JavaScript frameworks and tools such as React.js, Redux, Amber, Web pack, Enzyme, and Flux.
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
• Handling of Asynchronous tasks in frontend and backend both.
• Good to have experience in creating and using Image APIs.
• Prior experience with deployment on AWS and Heroku servers.
• Have good knowledge of Version Control Tools.
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Bootstrap, HTML & CSS is a must to know.
• Having an understanding of React.js and its core principles is an added advantage.
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) is an added advantage

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related discipline is NOT MANDATORY. Skills and passion to build products that people love are mandatory. :)
• Minimum 3 years of working experience.
• Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
• Full-stack experience working with backend programming languages as we believe engineers can do anything and everything and so everyone at Emitrr works full-stack.
• Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it (such as Express, StrongLoop, etc depending on your technology stack)
• Good understanding of React.js and its core principles with experience with working on popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Experience in building performant mobile apps in iOS or Android on react native is a plus
