Job Description: Lead Full-Stack Developer

Location: Pune Shift timings: 2-11 p.m. (Hybrid working model)

Job Overview: We are looking for two highly skilled Lead Developers based in India to join U.S.-driven Agile teams as key contributors. These roles will be pivotal in driving the end-to-end technical delivery of essential features across customer-facing and associate-facing platforms. This position requires a hands-on engineering approach, with at least half of the time dedicated to coding and core technical execution, while also leading and supporting the broader team in achieving project goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Act as the senior technical lead within a globally distributed team, focusing on domains such as Loyalty, Mobile Applications, CRM, and Customer Pickup solutions.

 Take ownership of design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud-native microservices and modular web components.

 Guide and oversee code reviews, ensure adherence to coding guidelines, and promote engineering best practices.

 Collaborate closely with U.S.-based product owners, architects, and delivery managers to define requirements, decompose epics, refine user stories, and estimate effort.

 Mentor and coach junior developers in India, fostering technical excellence within a remote-first, collaborative work culture.

 Provide transparent updates on risks, blockers, architectural choices, and delivery progress across international teams.

 Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and testable code following scalability, observability, and resiliency standards.

 Build and maintain integrations with Salesforce, internal/external APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and customer data platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:

 Minimum 10 years of progressive software development experience with proven leadership in technical delivery.

 Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server), and front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.

 Hands-on experience working in Agile teams, partnering directly with U.S.-based product and engineering stakeholders.

 Advanced skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit/integration test automation.

 Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, containerization (Docker), and modern deployment strategies.

 Exceptional communication skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach in a distributed team environment.

 Prior exposure to offshore-onshore collaboration models is highly desirable.

 - Hands-on with Java, JavaScript, Jython, SQL

 - Skilled in Maximo Manage configuration & customization

-Experience with MBOs, automation scripts, REST APIs, JSON, MIF

 - Integration exposure with Salesforce & external systems

 - Knowledge of DevOps (Bitbucket, Git, CI/CD)

 - Understanding of migration process, profiles & permission settings

The Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our team at 21 Knots. Someone with backend development with a working knowledge of frontend technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask, and familiarity with frontend tools like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and optionally React, Angular, or Vue. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable software solutions while collaborating with a team

Responsibilities

• Develop,test, and maintain backend services using Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for web and internal tools.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Optimize application performance and implement backend security best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Support basic frontend development tasks using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Work with modern frontend frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue (good to have).

What You’ll Need

Experience:

• 1–4 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Exposure to full-stack development environments.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud integration is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Tools & Software Proficiency:

• Proficiency in Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Exposure to Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS for responsive UI design.
• Good to have: experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Agile/Scrum methodologies is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Understanding of RESTful architecture and secure coding practices.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Backend: PHP Laravel (must), NodeJS (knowhow)

Frontend: Any Javascript, ReactJS (preferred)

Others: MySQL or any SQL database, Knowhow of Microservices architecture

• Should be able to design robust backend architecture using different technologies to retrieve data from the servers. 
• Creating databases and servers that are resistant to outages and work endlessly. 
• Ensuring cross-platform compatibility by creating applications that work on different platforms. 
• Based on the type of application the developer is responsible for the creation of API. 
• The developer is responsible for building flexible applications that meet consumer requirements.

• Flutter experience is optional
