As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for Application Engineering capability, designing and developing web applications, and managing small teams of App engineers In doing so, you will closely collaborate with program leads and technology architects across global locations.

More specifically, you might:

• Collaborate with business analysts and technical managers to understand functional, and non-functional requirements, and scope.
• Design and develop multi-tier, cloud-native, high-performance, and scalable solutions
• Indulge in applying benchmarking software engineering principles and design patterns to build robust world-class solutions.
• Direct cross-functional agile teams as a leader across the software development lifecycle
• Analyse design alternatives using proofs-of-concept, and engage with architects to choose the best optimal solutions
• Obsess about writing high-quality code and performing reviews of the design and code.
• Interact and collaborate with project/program managers to estimate, plan, and reduce technical concerns at the module or project level.
• Ideate with your peers, support their work, and provide constructive feedback on their solutions.

Competence Requirement:

1. 3+ years of experience in developing backend Java applications.

2. Experience with Java 11 will be GOOD to have.

6. Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or software engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities:

1. Write high quality code that solves difficult problems in a highly distributed system with extreme demands on resilience and quality.

2. Perform sufficient tests to ensure at least 80% code coverage.

3. Participate in and contribute to scrum ceremonies, e.g. daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos and retros.
