Senior/Lead Golang Developer - Your job will be to design and implement cutting-edge distributed, scale-out data cloud software systems. You will be part of a team working on hard problems, including distributed caching, distributed key-value and document data stores, data replication & conflict resolution, scale-out fault tolerance and data-layer reliability. You’ll work with Golang, and possibly a few other languages thrown in for good measure

Job Description
We are looking for passionate and self-driven Software Engineers to join our Bangalore engineering center. You would be responsible for designing and developing world-class and truly differentiated software products in the online travel space.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Development & maintenance of Cleartrip’s product lines
• Involved in entire lifecycle including analysis, development, fixing, and monitoring of issues on the assigned Cleartrip product lines
• Unit test cases – Review and writing

Experience / Skills (Preferred):

• 2+ years of Product Development experience
• Java, Spring Framework preferred
• Solid experience with databases (Oracle/MySQL) – a must
• Excellent OO and design skills
• Experience with Test Driven Development within a continuous Integration environment (Lunt, CruiseControl, etc)

The Engineering Manager (EM)is responsible for a managing a team of full stack engineers that is building highly innovative and cutting edge solutions. This role is accountable for leading a team, developing code, deploying and managing in production. Most importantly, the EM, while working with the Product owners drives the product Net promoter score (NPS), user satisfaction, building the product roadmap and delivering highly functional, exceptionally innovative and intelligent software. You will be called upon to be the technical representative for your team during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning. Success in this role will require strong and innovative approaches to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, accountability and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll take the lead as you - drive product development, operations and technical decision making. You’ll have a strong focus on team management and development, equal focus will be on writing production code and hands on active development of the capabilities and solutions. Assist in defining infrastructure need and use enterprise solution and drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build and deployment. Manage overall software development cycle by adhering to development and security standards. Establish good stakeholder communication and work closely with Product teams and influence set product roadmap and help drive requirements while being a strong advocate of extreme agile and DevOps practices across engineers. Build and manage a team of high performing full stack engineers and provide leadership, coaching, motivation and recommend staffing levels, operating procedures, tools and systems for the team. Provide career development and performance management to a team of engineers.

Required Candidate Profile

• 4 year degree in or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of engineering (software development) experience
• 1-3 years of managing teams with a strong track record of delivery for cross-functional product experience with Cloud hosting and managing products
• Proficient in building high performing APIs and writing specs
• Expertise in programming languages. Hands on experience in Java, J2ee technologies is preferred.
• Experience in SAP Hybris Commerce would be a plus
• Experience with integration, data handling technologies and other open source frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
• Team-orientated, passionate about developing others’ skills and capabilities
• Successful track record of working in large scale technology solutions
• Deep understanding of agile development processes and methodology including continuous integration and delivery, with a mindset of building incrementally and delivering business value quickly

• Understand business case and define Mule ESB Solution Architecture • Mule ESB integration platform • Install, configure and deploy solution using Mule ESB 3.x • Validate requirements and drive integration discussions • Understand latest architecture, technology, solutions, and industry trends • Develop Business Process Orchestrations - ESB Itinerary using Mule ESB • Contribute to enterprise architecture standards; advocate the adoption of standard project frameworks, methodologies, and procedures • Define integration principles and patterns • Create detailed technical design specifications for new integrations. • Responsible for providing effort estimates • Co-ordination of implementation with various offshore teams to create development plans, support delivery and test of scalable, reusable, supportable and repeatable architectural and design patterns • Issue analysis and resolution • Perform code and design reviews • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members, Onshore and Offshore • Review deliverables from team • Develop governance model for team deliverables through automation in test and CI/CD.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop our core web application using service-oriented architecture exposing APIs for internal and external clients. Implement architecture and design patterns to help ensure that systems scale. Establish processes and best practices around development standards. Review product requirements in order to give development estimates and product feedback. Apply technical expertise to challenging architecture and design problems. SKILLS / COMPETENCIES: 4+ years experience in developing enterprise-grade web applications. Experience with software design patterns like MVC, MVVM, etc. Experience working with .NET Core, MVC, Web API and Entity Framework. Strong knowledge of Web Standards and Technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Angular is an added advantage. Experience building applications using service-oriented architecture, web services and APIs. Knowledge of SQL, database design and LINQ. Hands-on experience on Microsoft Azure is an added advantage. Experience working in an Agile environment (SCRUM certification a major plus). Proponent of continuous integration, unit testing (mandatory) and automation. Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken. Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with team members.
