About TorqWars
TorqWars is building India's competitive RC racing. We are a sports-entertainment business running on three engines: experience-led arenas with timed racing, a league, and a D2C store for RC cars and parts. Our first arena opens soon in Bandra, Mumbai, and we are backed by The Foundery. Our mission is to make battling with machines a real sport. You will be part of the founding team that runs our first arena.
Role overview
You will run races and look after customers at our RC racing arena in Bandra. You will explain the rules and safety, manage races on the track, keep the cars and batteries ready, and make sure every customer has a great time.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome customers, explain the rules and give safety briefings.
- Start, monitor and reset races, and run the timing system.
- Charge and check batteries and cars between sessions.
- Help at the front desk and with in-store sales.
- Keep the track and play area clean and safe.
- Support tournaments, birthday parties and events.
KPIs
Races started on time, cars and batteries ready for every session, customer ratings and a clean safety record.
Requirements
- Friendly and confident with people of all ages, including kids and groups.
- Spoken Hindi and English. Marathi is a plus.
- Available for shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Punctual and reliable.
Good to have
Experience at a gaming zone, go-kart track, family entertainment centre, café or retail store. Interest in RC cars, gaming or motorsport.
How we assess
A quick AI voice interview with your camera on, about 15 minutes. It covers real moments on the floor: a child upset after losing a race, a group that arrives late for its slot and a car that stops mid-race. No experience or RC knowledge is needed; we train you. We hire for attitude: energy, reliability, honesty and care for customers. We may also call someone you worked for before we make an offer.
Your first 90 days
Trained on every car, the timing system and the safety rules, running races on your own, and trusted to host birthday parties, group bookings and tournaments.
What we offer
Full training on RC cars and race operations, and growth into a floor supervisor role.
Location
On-site at our Bandra arena, Mumbai (shift-based).
Hiring process
A short AI voice interview, a trial shift at the Bandra arena, and an offer within 1 week.
When you apply, share
- Where you have worked with customers before.
- Which shifts you can work.

You will work directly with the founders and own how your function is built from the ground up.
Role overview
You will own our first arena in Bandra end to end, from the final stage of fit-out to daily operations: team, equipment, safety, retail and the arena P&L. The operating model you build here becomes the playbook for every arena that follows. In the first few months you will be on the floor every day, hire and train the first team yourself, and lead operations through the launch.
Key responsibilities
- Complete fit-out, close snag lists, receive stock and open on the agreed launch date.
- Get licences, permissions and insurance in place with our admin and finance team.
- Run trial days and a soft launch before opening.
- Manage daily operations: opening and closing, staff rosters, front desk, and maintenance of tracks and cars.
- Hire, train and manage the floor team: floor managers, game marshals and hosts.
- Own safety: battery charging and storage, crowd management and incident reporting.
- Manage in-store retail sales and inventory.
- Own the arena P&L: revenue, staff costs, vendor costs and margins.
- Deliver tournaments and events at the arena with the community and events team.
KPIs
Launch date, equipment uptime, footfall, revenue per visitor, monthly margin and safety record.
Requirements
- Operations experience at family entertainment centres (FECs), gaming zones, retail stores or multi-site businesses, with hands-on floor work in the last 2–3 years. Senior candidates are welcome, and so are candidates with 3–5 years who have already run a site.
- Has opened at least one venue or store end to end: budget, vendors, permissions and hiring.
- Has managed frontline teams through weekends and peak days.
- Experience with safety SOPs and incident management in public spaces.
- Comfortable with budgets and a site P&L.
Good to have
Go-karting, bowling, trampoline park, gaming arena or amusement park operations. Basic knowledge of batteries and electronics. Has run an outlet or business of your own.
How we assess
A quick AI voice interview with your camera on (about 20 minutes, five main questions): a venue or store you opened or ran (the timeline, the budget, the team you hired and the numbers you moved), a safety incident and how you handled it, a TorqWars arena launch scenario to plan out loud, and what your last manager would say about you. We do not expect you to know RC cars; we will teach you the sport. We hire for intelligence, energy and integrity. Specific, honest answers score well; rehearsed ones do not. We speak to references before any offer.
Your first 90 days
The arena open on the agreed date with licences, insurance and SOPs in place; the first floor team hired and trained; and a daily dashboard for footfall, revenue, uptime and safety running.
What we offer
Leadership of a new venue format, 0.1–0.5% ESOPs (vesting as set out in the offer letter), direct work with the founders, and growth into a multi-arena role. A two-year mission: open our first arenas and write the playbook every new arena runs on.
Location
Work from office, Mumbai: on-site at our Bandra arena, with time at our Worli office.
Hiring process
A short AI interview, a call with a founder, a short assignment for shortlisted candidates, a site visit in Bandra with reference checks, a final conversation with our co-founder, and an offer within 2 weeks of the first call.
When you apply, share
- A venue or store you opened or managed, with team size and one result you improved.
- Current and expected CTC, and notice period.

Role overview
You will run day-to-day floor operations at our RC racing arena in Bandra: staff, customers, equipment and in-store sales during each shift. You will report to the Head of Arena Operations. Before launch, you will help with set-up, stock receiving, staff training and trial runs.
Key responsibilities
- Run shift operations from opening to closing.
- Manage rosters, attendance, training and performance of game marshals, hosts and front desk staff.
- Conduct safety briefings, manage battery charging and keep the incident log.
- Coordinate with technicians on track and car maintenance.
- Handle retail billing, stock counts, the daily sales report and cash closing.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints on the floor.
- Coordinate with our café partner.
KPIs
Equipment uptime, footfall and daily sales, customer ratings and safety record.
Requirements

- Has led a frontline team through weekends and peak days.

- Experience with safety procedures and incident handling in a public venue.
Good to have
Go-karting or amusement park operations. Basic knowledge of electronics and batteries. Has run an outlet or café.
How we assess
A quick AI voice interview with your camera on (about 20 minutes, five main questions): real shifts you ran – a packed weekend, a staff no-show, a cash mismatch at closing and a safety incident – plus what your last manager would say about you. No RC knowledge is needed; we train you on the cars and the sport. We hire for calm under pressure, honesty, reliability and care for customers. Recent hands-on work matters more than total years, and we speak to references before any offer.
Your first 90 days
Opening and closing checklists running every shift, the first marshals and hosts trained and rostered, and a daily sales, uptime and incident report the Head of Arena Operations relies on.
What we offer
A founding role at a new arena, training on RC racing equipment, and growth into arena management as we open more locations.
Location
On-site at our Bandra arena, Mumbai (shift-based).
Hiring process
A short AI interview, a call with the Head of Arena Operations, a short assignment for shortlisted candidates, a site visit in Bandra with reference checks, and an offer within 1 week of the first call.

You will be part of the founding team that runs our events and our first arena.
Role overview
You will handle logistics and on-ground execution for our racing events, tournaments and brand activations at malls, colleges and corporate offices, and support arena operations. You will work with the Head of Arena Operations and the Head of Community & Events.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute event logistics: equipment, transport, set-up and dismantling.
- Set up the race track, timing system and charging stations, and check batteries before each event.
- Brief event crew and marshals, and manage rosters.
- Book and coordinate vendors: sound, lights, staging, printing and transport.
- Maintain equipment inventory, checklists and incident records.
- Coordinate with venues on permissions and paperwork.
- Support the arena fit-out by tracking deliveries and vendors.
KPIs
Events delivered on time and on budget, set-up time, equipment readiness and safety record.
Requirements
- 1+ years in events, brand activations, venue operations or production. College fest operations experience counts.
- Hands-on set-up and dismantling experience, not just coordination.
- Available on evenings, weekends and event days.
- Organised and calm under pressure.
Good to have
Core team experience at college fests such as Techfest or Mood Indigo. Interest in RC cars or similar hobbies. Basic electronics. A two-wheeler or driving licence.
How we assess
A quick AI voice interview with your camera on (about 20 minutes, five main questions): an event you set up with your own hands (the load-in plan, what went wrong and how you fixed it), how you managed vendors and crew, a TorqWars pop-up race scenario, and what your last manager would say about you. No RC knowledge is needed; we train you on the cars and the sport. We hire for attitude: energy, reliability, honesty and people who learn fast. Recent hands-on work matters more than total years, and we speak to references before any offer.
Your first 90 days
An event kit, checklists and a vendor list that make every set-up repeatable; set-up time falling event after event; and your first events delivered on time, on budget and safely.
What we offer
Fast growth into an events or arena manager role, and hands-on exposure to building a new sport from the ground up.
Location
Mumbai: our Worli office, the Bandra arena and event venues across the city.
Hiring process
A short AI interview, a call with the hiring manager, a 1-hour assignment for shortlisted candidates, a trial day at one of our events with reference checks, and an offer within 1 week.
