Job Responsibilities

The Software Engineer EIS Developer develops EIS and Java code for intermediate modules, participates in design reviews, conducts code reviews, creates test plans and resolves moderate defects.  The Developer designs, documents, reviews, and maintains components of software solutions for intermediate projects.  It also includes reacting to production problems or supporting production changes where those applications are operating.

• Strong understanding of EIS (V12 or V20) and Core Java concepts
• 5-7 year of experience
• Knowledge of the Insurance business is a plus

We are seeking a disciplined, serious, and highly skilled Lead JavaScript Engineer with hands-on experience in SvelteKit and Generative AI (RAG & MCP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a small team of 5 Software Developers.
• Architect, develop, and maintain web and native applications.
• Integrate Generative AI solutions (RAG & MCP).
• Manage authentication, security, and DevOps pipelines.
• Enforce disciplined coding practices, processes, and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to implement scalable solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript mainly with JS Framework of SvelteKit is must.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI (RAG & MCP).
• Experience leading small teams.
• Deep understanding of web app architecture, security, and DevOps.
• Knowledge of native app frameworks is a plus.
• Disciplined, self-driven, and result-oriented mindset.
• Local candidates preferred.

Job Summary:

As a  Software Engineer II  at OpenGov, you'll build best-in-class SaaS solutions that enable efficiency, transparency, and accountability within government agencies. Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• BA/BS in a computer-science-related discipline or equivalent experience required
• 3+ years of professional experience in developing cloud native applications.
• Proficiency in Java or C++ or C# or equivalent program language is required.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS is required 
• Proficiency in data structures, database concepts, algorithms and observability is required
• Working knowledge of event-driven architecture and Kafka preferred
• Working knowledge of ElasticSearch/OpenSearch preferred

Job Brief
