Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Head to lead our engineering team, drive technical excellence, and build scalable products. You will oversee end-to-end product development, define the engineering strategy, and mentor a team of talented developers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering team of 20+ Developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to define the technical roadmap.
• Implement best practices in code quality, architecture, security, and performance.
• Mentor engineers and help them grow into future leaders.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve productivity and product performance.

Must-Have Skills:

• Expertise in Fullstack Development (Node.js / Java / Python + React / Angular / Vue)
• Strong experience in Cloud Platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Hands-on with Microservices Architecture & Scalable Systems
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams (5–20 members)
• Strong problem-solving and system design skills

Good-to-Have Skills:

Front End developers

• Angular.JS experience
• MongoDB query and aggregation experience (not a database administrator)

• Drive design and architecture around key systems that are part of the product. Setup design philosophies and implement them in a way that ensures they are easily followed.

• Full Stack Developers with experience in Typescript or Nodejs, React or React Native, Rest APIs
• 3-8 years of product development experience. Preferably in a product development environment.
• Experience with working with Web Development Stacks (HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc)
• Experience with working with Backend Server stacks (SQL databases, Web Servers, API Endpoints etc)

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• You have a strong passion for building things from the ground up with all the challenges and unknowns, and enjoy the process of solving problems that are new and unique.
• Experience with React, React-native, Typescript and similar Frontend Technologies.
• Experience with PostGres, MySQL and similar DB Technologies.
• Experience with REST, GraphQL and similar API technologies.
• Experience working with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience with open source languages such as, Java, Objective-C/C++, Swift, Java, PHP, Python etc.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Docker and Kubernetes

Job Summary

• Excellent hands-on experience with Go lang (if not Golang, in either JAVA, DotNet and/or NodeJS)
• Write CRONs and background tasks required for the growth of business and product
• Build REST APIs as required
• Ability to code using design principles
• Write reusable code and libraries for future use
• Have the working knowledge of Microservices Architecture using Docker
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders in executing various new and existing ideas
• Possesses the knowledge of developing and deploying in Linux environments

Key Skills
Skills that we would be more than happy for a dev to have: - Worked in CI/CD environments - Developed code using TDD/BDD approach. - Worked with Virtualization on Linux (KVM) - Experience in working in Agile development environment
