Primary Responsibilities

Cognitio Analytics is looking for a Lead Application Developer, driven by innovation and a desire to make a difference. Duties include working in a professional environment with a team of developers, data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and product owners. Successful candidates will be able to lead development projects, plan and design solutions with heavy focus on data integration and Azure cloud capabilities and analysis methods needed to support project goals.

Preferred Qualifications – experience with a few of the following is a plus:

• Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in software development;

Technical Leader reporting to the CTO/CEO. Your responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

1. Architecting, Designing and Developing Software Programmes based on requirements provided
2. Designing and Developing with a high quality of code that is modular, scalable and re-usable at all times
3. Promote SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) to ensure all of the services are Highly-Available and Fault Tolerant at all times
4. Communicate effectively the system requirements to other software development teams

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. Youll be part of a cross-functional team thats responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

• Knowledge of back-end languages and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React and Node.js)
• Familiarity with MongoDB, web servers, and UI/UX design.

-  Demonstrate a systematic and disciplined architecture, system design and programming approach following a standard software development lifecycle

-  Work closely with senior management, Development Manager, Project Manager, and a team of developers.

- Design, Code, Unit Test and support Software components

-  Deliver quality software in a time following standard software development processes

-  Analyze problems raised in software development or production environments and provide timely solutions

-  Develop, prepare and maintain system documentation, including program descriptions, operational procedures etc.

-  Act as the second line of support during production problems.

Mandatory Skills:

Software Engineering

u  Strong experience in agile methodologies and test driven development.

u  Experience in software development using open source technologies.

u  Experience in automated software testing.

u  Knowledge in domain-driven design, design patterns and enterprise integration patterns.

u  Must have experience in delivering software via complete Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.

Software Development

u  Must be able to code in Java (SpingBoot and Spring Cloud Services).

u  Experience in some of the technologies below:

o PaaS: Pivotal Cloud Foundy/Openshift/ AWS/ Azure/ Docker/ Kubernetes

 - Strong knowledge in CI/CD toolset such as Ansible, Artifactory, Jenkins, BitBucket, SonarQube, Fortify,  Flyway, Jira and Confluence.

-  Strong knowledge in automated testing toolset such as jUnit, Mockito, cucumber, Selenium etc.

-  Strong knowledge in scripting languages such as Groovy and Linux shell.
